I've been tuning a bow for the rut cause I have nothing to do.

I took everything off the string except the dloop and according to a calculator I am getting:

275fps off a 460gn arrow @ 65# with the option to drop down to 60# or crank it to 70#.

    At 65# I'm 77ftlbs of kinetic energy.

The calculator says this should be enough for grizzly bear or water buffalo.

I'm also gonna get new strings with speed nocks and a new cable guide. From this I'm expecting another 10-15fps. After this is done I'm gonna buy a chronograph and check the speed of it for real.

To get all the weight off the string, I went with a peepless sighting system, I chose the anchor sight. No string silencers/cat whiskers. I am assuming the speed nocks will quieten the shot and eliminate vibrations. I am using a whisker biscuit.

Doea anyone here like hunting or organic meat?

I was doing a study on immigration and cultural attitudes and shifts. I focused on Australia because over 50% of the population are from a non English speaking/inmigrant background, yet Australian public representations of culture reflect Australia as a society where traditional values triumph, everyone is mates, everyone is white, and migrants and brown people are a minority.

    This is a false narrative.

Australia is more like this, explained in pictures:

To fit in to Australia as a migrant you have to be a loser and then you are celebrated as a local. Case in point:

Ethnic youth and those from a migrant background who have not been broken in to conforming to Aussie values through having their self worth questioned adopt American hip hop style mannerisms, pastimes and fashion as an expression of their identity and what they see as cool. Australiana is teh ghey. They have been systemically mocked and rejected by society for not being white for so long that now they no longer try to be Aussie.

Aussie youth are gay. Like church groups. They have each other, their culture is not modern and not cool.

This has got to the point Aussie's now use self deprecating humour to identify with cool - that being the Australian born children of middle eastern and Mediterranean migrants who found their own culture to appropriate for cool. This type of self deprecating homour and resignation to the fact that Australian identity is being overwhelmingly rejected has now emerged with Australian youth trying to identify with ethnic communities and their stereotypes to gain upward social mobility.

    Examples:

Australia is dying. It is not white and Aussie cultural representations only exist in marketing material. It is rejected by the nation. Politicians and other white boomers such as talkback radio hosts continue on their propaganda crusade but they have lost. People identify as Australian, but are against Australian cultural institutions. And Hezbollah has a well established propaganda arm and research wing in Australia. The theory is they are going to be used to demonise Lebanese Australians when Hezbollah activity is exposed in the media, which may not happen as it will show Australian government complicity in providing this capability to acknowledged and public members of Hezbollah.

Soviet KGB influence of the education system and society is complete in Australia. They won. Australians help them. So did the government with their alienation of migrants and the encouragement of conformity through social rejection.

    Australia is finished.

I got a high distinction for this research.

The Asia-Pacific drug trade has a new kingpin, at least according to the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and some Western anti-narcotics officials.

This doesn't make sense to me. I could understand a heroin smuggling ring, or a cocaine smuggling one, but meth?

It's like weed. It can be sourced and manufactured locally by dealers and distributors.

Why would you go to the effort of smuggling vast quantities of drugs out of Asia, where there is the death penalty for such crimes, to your own country, where there are life sentences for smuggling large quantities of drugs?

Further, say you have a ton of meth, that you made in some vacant Chinese factory that is so easy to hide because there is so much shipping and manufacturing in China anyway, and now you get it to an American or European port.

This is a tonne of meth. You can't just, sell it to some shady dude at a bar, like you could with an ounce to a mid level dealer.

You need distributors, who have networks that can move such a large amount of product. These types of networks already exist, such as bikers. They also make their own meth.....

Why aren't they gonna, as individual cells, shake and bake as needed a few ounces from cold and flu tablets? If they get caught it's not the same type of prison sentence as a tonne seized in a delivery van. Also there is storage and redistribution of that meth from a central point. It's a lot to get caught with compared to a few ounces made every month.

So why would bikers do this when they are self sufficient?

Further, who is gonna go in to business competition with a biker gang?

Most imported MDMA is central and eastern European.

See, this international meth trade makes no sense. The risk vs reward is too high and it can easily already be made in country.

Mr Casey, of Carton Court, Ballymun, Dublin 11, was charged with membership of an unlawful organisation, styling itself the Irish Republican Army, otherwise Óglaigh na hÉireann, otherwise the IRA, on August 20th, 2019.

On June 1st, 2019, a bomb was found under the car of a serving police officer at Shandon Park Golf Club in east Belfast. A tournament, which was being held at the golf club, was cancelled and about 70 people had to evacuate.

It's not the pay. The pay is pretty good. A cop can earn as much as a university graduate in their first year. It's just that the pay doesn't get much better, unlike with university graduates who can double their income in 10-15 years if they get promoted, though not everyone can be the general manager and end up on $200k.

Many people have no desire to become police. There are not many people who would be happy arresting people for being drunk in public on their 21st birthday. Police relish it.

In Latin America, criminal entrepreneurs in the form of cartels, have traditionally run drug trafficking. In Venezuela, it is managed from within government, and if Nicolás Maduro wins another term in office, Venezuela’s position in the global cocaine business will solidify.

    https://www.insightcrime.org/investigations/drug-trafficking-venezuelan-regime-cartel-of-the-sun/

So at a time when official US policy is hostile to Venezuela, including through use of sanctions, how is a well to do polished ivy league grad going to interact with these guys on any meaningful level without putting blemishes on their official career transcript? There is no way.

So to keep access and influence with the government in Venezuela, out comes the CIA with their bag of tricks.

Something must have really broken down, or the CIA decided they can stand over Venezuela for the nephews to get arrested and for all trust to be broken.

Meanwhile, drugs are causing harm to the economy and society.

This again shows you the government is not interested in society, you or me, and is interested in ways to have control and power.

    They are the drug lords.

It's a pragmatic solution at least.

Organized crime is essentially an arm of the state. There are so many "undercover informants" in serious Organized crime. They are used to discover and infiltrate organized networks in other countries, build relationships with "corrupt" government officials in other nations, and induce fear in the greater population.

The reason they get light sentences instead of medals is because there needs to exist plausible deniabilty.

This is for serious organized crime.

Not like, fraudsters and low level drug dealers, but people who can be of use to intelligence agencies.

People who can link in with networks in places of interest, such as China, Russia, Burma, Pakistan, Venezuela etc.

Why is the Russian mob give such access and leeway? It's to show to the SVR that there exists a mutual understanding during times of public policy hostile to Russia. It's to keep doors open to handlers high up in the Russian government. Handlers who have the ears of policy planners and other important government officials.

Look at Maduro. His nephews were high level drug runners who got arrested in America. These are people who are ALWAYS going to be under surveillance as everyone wants in on, influence with, and knowledge about world leaders. These guys were taking orders from the FBI. It's stupid to think they weren't. They were never going to slip under the radar for anything. They would be surveilled intently just going to Costco because of who they are.

The only reason the nephews went down was due to the complete deterioration, or alternatively, abandonment, by the CIA of their contacts in the Venezuelan government. They would never have acted this way without a green light from the US government. Look at who they are.

Who is gonna replace them though?

If we had good people as cops, would they be prepared to walk "the thin blue line"?

One one hand, there would be less radicalization because that is generally caused by resentment against the state as the main motivator rather than the desire to make the world a better place. From this we would have less divisions in society, less Russian electoral interference, less political violence and more peace and harmony. Western cultural institutions would not be on the verge of extinction. There would not be constant pushes against the state. People would not feel like their lives have been unjustifiably interfered with my the police when they have done nothing wrong.

But what about people who are motivated to cause disturbances for any other reason? Like the people who are bullies and have no desire to control their urges to make other people feel not at peace? Sexual harassment is something you gotta control, why not this?

Will these people be out of control without little men in blue uniforms having to prove their masculinity by standing up to the big scary men with their authority to legally assault people and carry a gun?
  20. too.dark.to.see Tuskegee Airman
    Because it's political.

Judges and police chiefs are political appointments. They are appointed by politicians. A politician is motivated by politics. For example, when you say you are sad about poverty, you are sad about poverty. When a politician says they want to do something about poverty, it has a social or economic outcome, or is related to electioneering.

    Proof:

Poverty could be eliminated. Grants for cultural affairs such as art installations are up there in the billions of dollars. Put that money towards section 8 housing and social security and poverty is gone. However this does not happen. Ironically the people from the cultural sectors of society such as artists and academics are always the ones going on about inequality and poverty but they never turn down a grant or highlight their entitled privilege in their crusade to make us feel bad about wage inequality and people being held back by society.

    More proof:

Collateral damage is acceptable in war. The intended outcome of war is to deliver a victory, politically, socially and militarily. This is proven by the fact MISO operations exist. A human is a number to these people. You have no value. You are a system, a process, sometimes related to cost push economics in manufacturing. Not a person.

So anyway, people are appointed to these roles by politicians who are going to choose people based upon their political reliability. They therefore appoint people who worship the system above all else. The police are a part of that system, using fear and brutality if necessary to stop the filth rising up. They will excuse the police. They would issue the pokice with with whips if they thought we were oppressed enough.

Please be aware it is usually a family thing regarding people who get here. There are lineages of police, judges, politicians etc. It looks corrupt and it is, but not how you're thinking.

These people need security clearances. They trust their own to inform on their children and their suitability to advance within government. Security vetting is how they get there. It is a cult. They are ideologues. They will not rule impartially. They will rule to prove their loyalty to the cult.

    That is all.
