Isabelle Guitard, the director of programmes at Child Soldiers International, said the document showed British army recruiters continued to disproportionately target young people from poor, working-class backgrounds with limited opportunities.

Originally posted by aldra The same instinctual triggers that cause homosexuality in animals are also responsible for filicide, like a mother cat slaughtering her kittens because their wriggling movement triggers her hunting instinct.
If one can be used to justify human behavior, why not the other?
I don't like this. -

But unlike most inherited conditions, this was not caused by mutations to the genetic code itself. Instead, the researchers were investigating a much more obscure type of inheritance: how events in someone’s lifetime can change the way their DNA is expressed, and how that change can be passed on to the next generation.
This is the process of epigenetics, where the readability, or expression, of genes is modified without changing the DNA code itself. Tiny chemical tags are added to or removed from our DNA in response to changes in the environment in which we are living. These tags turn genes on or off, offering a way of adapting to changing conditions without inflicting a more permanent shift in our genomes. -
2019-11-19 at 6:09 AM UTC in Gay behavior 'is the norm for most animals', study claimsFurther, things that happen in your brain are "genetic expression".
If you experience a traumatic event, the genetic expression in your brain changes. This can either be short term or long term. This is your DNA.
The expression of your genes not static.
Look at something like diabetes. This has do with genetic expression of things to do with insulin and your pancreas. The dominant genetic expression gets represented at a higher level when your cells divide and is more likely to be passed on.
From this you can deduce genetic heritability. -

2019-11-19 at 5:55 AM UTC in Gay behavior 'is the norm for most animals', study claimsFemale goats will mount each other if one does the "present the rear" it kicks their instinct to activate.
And when the male goat sees this and gets aggressive, she does the "present the rear" and stops being the man.
It's your brain. It's influenced by hormones.
Seeing certain things can affect your hormones.
Over a zillion years, the pathways in the brain have become strongly reinforced when seeing the "present the rear". These reinforced pathways are passed down via mendellian inheritence, and thusly, the brain likes "present the rear". The rest of it is hormones and social conditioning. Eg if you are regularly unchallenged in life, anxious traits and submissive traits are not likely to develop in your personality.
Look at PTSD. Complete personality change brought about by continual activation of certain brain pathways associated with fight/flight. -
2019-11-19 at 5:50 AM UTC in Gay behavior 'is the norm for most animals', study claimsGay men are generally fetishists.
They get turned on by wearing lipstick. This is not natural.
It's conditioned.
Like how when you train a dog to expect dinner at the sound of a bell. These behaviours condition pathways in the brain related to hunger, in the case of the dog, or sexual response in the case of the gay.
You should be attracted to your own species.
Submissive/dominant behaviour is determined by hormones and other social factors. For example, you could have a guy who is naturally large and muscular with high testosterone and good looking. Some unnatural behaviour could lead to him becoming apprehensive via conditioning from some little shit stick who is socially aggressive and egrarious. The reason nature doesnt take over and shit stick and he gets dominated is cause people don't wanna get arrested for punching some dude in the face, or fired for bitching out their coworker who is a faggot. -
2019-11-19 at 5:43 AM UTC in Gay behavior 'is the norm for most animals', study claimsAlso sexual behaviour is influenced by hormones.
It's not purely genetic. Hormones can be affected by diet and lifestyle or even climate.
Very simply, look at iodine. It is required for the development of the CNS. Low iodine is a problem for the fetus. This has nothing to do with genetics. That fetus is fucked up because it lacked sufficient iodine at the appropriate time. -

just look at natural selection:

human males get along at just about every junction except being done wrong. but we do not see other males as a threat to kill us to impregnate our women like the animals does.
we truly are not connected to the animals kingdom because like my 50,000 year old tibetan mastiffs, they can never be domesticated.
but humans are, except for the mentally disturbed!!
so it's obvious humans and natural selection are not even remotely connected like it is within the literal animal kingdoms!!
It's not about passing genes on.
The levels of testosterone in the body spike with sexual desire or arousal. This can be caused by scent, wake/sleep cycles (eg seasons) or psychological behaviour, such as a submissive animal triggering instinct to be dominant in another.
Higher testosterone causes higher aggression.
He is not ensuring the survival of his genes. He is violent. -

There is rampant anti Americanism everywhere.
If the US government can show they are taking a stand against:
Nepotism
Extravagant wealth
White men
The US government
Public trust can be enhanced.
If Trump loves America he will want to be impeached. -
2019-11-18 at 12:54 AM UTC in Waiting on an inheritanceGo organic.
Buy some place in the middle of nowhere that is adjacent to a forest with a stream.
Have some gardens growing vegetables. Have some fruit trees for each season.
Have a house with solar power and a rainwater tank.
Get some goats. They eat weeds, not grass. Have two to three offspring at once, so you get good amounts of meat and land management from a small herd of goats compared to anything else. In drought they will eat the leaves off trees.
Chickens breed like rabbits and give you eggs.
Rabbits taste good.
Hunt some deer. Use a bow. Catch some fish. Use a net.
Total cost ~$80k. -

Originally posted by aldra No. Your fantasy simply isn't feasible, at least in the short to medium turn and without turning HK into the Ukraine for a decade.
What will happen is China will eventually have to send in the PLC to roflstomp them which has been the US' goal all along, at which point they can cry about 'humanitarian catastrophes' and 'human rights' and use it as a pretext to ramp up aggression against China. China will not back down though and the US can't swing sanctions around in the same way that they have against Russia, so it'll be a big boy hot war unless the US finds a way to de-escalate the mess it's created.
I have stated my opinion on what is occurring at present based on reported facts and historical and social variables.
There is no speculative fantasy here. -

Originally posted by aldra So your goal in advocating these riots is to watch HK burn in order to make China look bad. At least you're honest I guess, but you proved my initial point:
There is no possible positive outcome and the people supporting the riots are either idiots or do not have the best interests of the people of HK in mind.
No this is not my goal or motivation, or that of the protestors. The movement has the potential to be turned in to an anti China superweapon by motivated parties. -

Originally posted by aldra So regardless of your silly capitalist-communist posturing, what happens to the bulk of HK's foreign trade when trade with China falls through the floor?
If anyone is motivated to make the Chinese economic miracle look bad to international viewers, as opposed to letting things take their natural course, then Hong Kong is the vehicle. -
