2022-03-01 at 12:08 PM UTC in The police just woke me upThat's really fucked up, OP. My dad died over a decade ago and it sucked for a long time. I'm not gonna sugar coat it, it's going to be rough, and you're still going to think about it years from now, but you at some point find a sort of peace and are able to move on and let life continue again. It sounds like you've dealt with loss before, so I won't get too crazy into trying to sound comforting.

Supposedly he couldn't get the tire iron to fit, so instead of buying a 4 way tire iron he got two socket wrenches that both ended up breaking because, well, they aren't meant for that kind of shit. -

Originally posted by stl1 I find it funny that this thread has devolved into fighting over concrete walls when, in the initial video (post 63) of the basement, it is plain to see that the foundation is made of mostly stone with cement mortar. I have the same type of foundation and my walls are 18" thick.
I think the best part is concrete is only one of the materials I listed. Either way it's crumbing and water is getting in. -

the lawsuit is ongoing and no one has determine what were the real causes.
They didn't damage it, they allowed more water to get into it. The water damaged it. Building Integrity did a great piece on this, and a few other scenes about how water effects un-treated concrete. -

Originally posted by vindicktive vinny so just like covid, your "concerns" only affect people and concrete with pre-existing, underlying conditions.
No, unlike covid, water damaged concrete and foundation damage is a serious issue that not enough people take seriously. Look at the Surfside collapse last year. Concrete doesn't last as long as people think it does unmaintained. You can CLEARLY see in the video that the foundation is compromised.
The mold honestly isn't even the biggest concern here, it's the clear foundation damage and water coming in causing additional damage, mixed with the fact it's creating a high humidity environment which causes damage to the floor joists and support beams.
Then you have chucklefucks like Fonaplats taking advice from people like you just adding fuel to the fire.
If the house doesn't collapse it will eventually get enough water damage that the mold will start causing problems. -

Wait.... You're using a fucking socket wrench to take your wheels off? How dumb are you? Use a damn tire iron what the fuck. No wonder you broke shit. -

Also, the diagnosis in the OP sounds like bullshit so you were right not to pay it. If the cat "disintegrated" it would either have shot the chunks out of the tailpipe or clogged and not allow the car to run -

also only a minority of black molds are toxic, as most black molds are harmless.
just like black people.
Yeah, concrete CAN be good for over a hundred years properly maintained. The fact that water has made it into this ladies basement suggests the concrete has began to fail, meaning part of the foundation is failing. Go look at the video Fonaplats posted, right at the start after he notices the puddle you rubs the wall and you can see it starting to crumble.
One thing I will concede though is that since the foundation on this house doesn't have rebar it's not at as high of a risk as, say, a 12 story condo building.
As for the mold, yeah, usually it isn't but when it's around kids (Fona's gf has kids) and the immunocompromised (Fona has HIV or something) it CAN be deadly. -

Originally posted by ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Same thing happened to me years ago. I came out my door and there was a bum sleeping in the stairwell and I couldn't get by. I told him to move aside, but he wouldn't. When I went to step over/around him, he started yelling and screaming about some nonsense I couldn't even make out, and then my neighbor upstairs, who I'd never met before, came flying out of his apartment holding a huge Samurai sword in front of him with both hands and he ran down the stairs at us. I told him I live here, but he didn't believe me and started yelling at both of us to leave, and at that moment I managed to slip by the homeless person and get out of the shit show.
Of all the shit that didn't happen, this didn't happen the most. Any sane person would have kicked the bum in his stupid face and carried on. -

Fuck being late I just called In sick. Sick of being alive in such a gay nigger society.
Usually days like this it doesn't even matter if you go in late because if the bus is delayed the people driving get delayed too. I decided to avoid all of that bullshit
So you DIDN'T miss the bus, you intentionally didn't board it. Then you have the audacity to blame society for YOU being a lazy ass piece of shit. -

You spelled "major" leaks wrong. If the water is puddling something is obviously wrong. Not to mention the fact that as water soaks through the wall it makes the concrete/limestone/whatever the foundation is made of get weaker over time. That's not even accounting for the fact that there's 100% black mold in the house now, which is toxic as fuck to breath in.

Originally posted by Technologist Your argument might have some teeth if the vaccine was considered experimental, it simply is not.

Let’s get some facts up in here.
Yeah, only it's literally impossible that they develop, tested, and rolled out a non-experimental vaccine in less than 10 months. Don't forget too the vaccine has barely been out a year and has already required multiple boosters to even fake work and numbers haven't gone down at all despite people like you swearing up and down that it works.
No other vaccine in the history of medical science has ever been rolled out, tested, and approved by the FDA in the laughably short amount of time this vaccine that doesn't stop you from getting or spreading Covid was. Not one single one.
