I think it depends on what deals I could find. I mean, $200 to install Windows XP is easy money. One lot I saw the only reason it's listed as parts is because one of the 3 laptops has a broken screen which would cost $40 to replace and none of them have chargers which cost like $10 on Amazon, so after parts and the cost of the lot I could still net like $380.
Originally posted by mmQ apparently this works well with iPhones too. Ive been looking into couch flipping, there are tons of free couches around here or relatively cheaps ones that should be marked up at least a hundred bucks . Heard of some people doing this as a side hustle and it did so well it just became their full time gig. Just move a few couches a day make one or two hundred bucks for a few hours work… seems nice on paper
Yeah if you're good at spreading LOCA without leaving air bubbles you can make a mint flipping phones. Usually you can get them in lots of 30+ for a couple hundred bucks and spend an afternoon replacing screens at $10 a pop then re-list them for $100+ each. Even if you only get half working you can still make $1200. -

2022-01-28 at 3:24 AM UTC in Flipping laptops on eBaySo I was looking at laptops on eBay for shits and it's crazy some of the working shit you can get for under $60 that's listed as "tested unworking" that has clear pictures of it working. Right now I'm eying up one for $20 that's listed as unworking but unclear in the description as to what's wrong with it. I emailed the seller and it clearly just needs Windows reinstalled and I could list it as tested working for $200.
The way I see it is if I flipped a couple easy ones I could gamble on a lot of 3 or more and maybe make some real fucking money. -
2022-01-27 at 6:08 PM UTC in I saw this today and thought it was funny.I'm 30 and also born in 91. I guess I can sort of remember when like a 1998 was new so they don't strike me as old yet.
But yeah, 1993 being pre-obd2 would be old I reckon -
2022-01-27 at 1:10 PM UTC in I saw this today and thought it was funny.93 isn't what I'd consider old, but then again I may just be older than you.

2022-01-26 at 12:58 PM UTC in That gas station with the good job I was excited about startingYeah it's pretty fucked that a state known for it's drinking wouldn't allow everyone to sell booze.
Also I'm dying at the idea of some hoodrat from Milwaukee being called rural. Like lol -
2022-01-26 at 12:48 PM UTC in I was thinking earlier about what our Community...Here's how it works here: Lanny won't do shit but pay for hosting. YOU have to do the leg work of getting this chat room up and running, YOU have to do the work of syncing both the forum and the chatroom together somehow (honestly Discord makes it piss easy), YOU have to submit the pull request, and YOU have to get everyone on board without it being official.
Lanny is a great admin, he's kept this place going for years now with minimum down time, but good luck getting ANY new shit implemented without doing it yourself. The base forum was the peak of his ability to code. -

Yeah they will because in Wisconsin you need a liquor license to work at a gas station, and the state board will absolutely do a background check.
Shit, I got background checked to change oil for the local Chevy dealer. -
2022-01-26 at 12:29 PM UTC in Lol u know this place is ghetto when 90% of members shop at aldi.Aldi's sucks. You can get produce and shit there cheap, but it's always nasty.
I prefer to use actual grocery stores, but let's be real here, Walmarts are everywhere and consistent about what they have. -

It's not that they're hard, it's that they're expensive as fuck for mundane things. My brother in law had one for a while and there were some things like brakes that just cost insane amounts compared to, say, any other car. Like the rotors alone were $600 and the pads were like $75 each so to do brakes costs him $900. -
2022-01-24 at 11:39 PM UTC in Picked up a sweet projector a week or two agoMy mother in law has that one you plan on getting and it's pretty nice. Usually I don't care for above ground pools, but it's been great so far. I guess this year she's getting the next size up though because she asked me to get the skid steer and level her yard out for it.

Holy fuck, Fona opted for the responsible choice. Yeah, you should just do that. Maybe get some cool tapestries to keep the warm air in a set location. Get into burning candles to help with the heat a little -
2022-01-24 at 12:35 PM UTC in 550 square feet of fuck my dickDon't worry about a subfloor, concrete is fine. A subfloor would just be taking up more precious headspace. The most important things are dehumidifier and keeping the air moving so it doesn't get too stagnant.
You're probably right about it being too cold. Paint stops drying right under like 45-50o -

What do you recommend i do?
Like I said, make SURE you get a good dehumidifier. If you can keep it 50-55% in the winter and <50% in the summer you'll be fine. You aren't doing wall treatments so don't worry about moisture barriers.
If you're still concerned beyond that use a good mold blocking primer like Killz, then paint the floor and walls with a good latex paint. It will stop the block walls and concrete floor from leaking (concrete is porous), and the dehumidifier will help with the stuff the falls down from the upper levels.
Like, bro, all bullshit aside, I do consistently try to give you good advice, and normally what you do only effects you, but you're mucking around with the lives of children so it's important you don't do something that's going to create a biohazard for them.
Also, I don't know your overall plan but just in case you don't already know DO NOT USE GREEN TREATED LUMBER. IT WILL KILL EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE. IT IS FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
