   Torture does work to get confessions but it doesn't work to get true confessions and even if it did it would be ignored and the desired confessions waited on.
   People will say anything to stop the pain, up to and including what you want them to say.

    They had a massive amount to gain, a trump card, a country, unlimited funding from the leading super power.
    Not to mention that the confessions were from torture and the "survivors" accounts shouldn't be acceptable, try taking any modern prison guard and getting testimony from the prisoners, he'd end up in front of a firing squad.

    There was russian collusion but not with trump, but with the american gov in general, the US needs a boogeyman and with them not being needed in the middle east anymore they decided to work with russia and have russia be the big bad.

    Computers, motors and vehicles, clothing, firearms, construction, aerospace, all in some way can benefit the MIC, hell even the postal system and catering/the food industry come in to play when supplying soldiers, an army runs on logistics after all.
    New designs, new methods and materials, or cheaper designs, methods and materials.
    
    The MIC is responsible for all modern conflicts in one way or another, take syria as an example, the funded insurgents attack, the gov fight back and receive support from russia, they're slowly winning, contractors move in to rebuild making a ton of money, then one day the buildings, infrastructure and military will take another hit and it will all start over again.
