2017-10-03 at 7:03 PM UTC in .22 Is a shit caliber for a pistol.

a lot more women have been getting involved in firearms and they naturally tend to gravitate towards the dainty calibers. the manufacturers making the stupid ass guns in pink and purple with purty flowered-ie designs only encourages this.
example…i had a female acquaintance who was looking to buy her first gun for herself. she was laser-focused on stupid ass .25's… .32's (Tomcat was her prime choice)…and an iffy .380 which was literally, no exaggeration, the same size as the 9mm version of the pistol. after taking her to the range a few times and letting her shoot everything from .380ACP…to 9mm… to .45ACP as well as a couple of rifles i loaded with special no-recoil rounds. (altho…she refused to fire the desert eagle after 'feeling' me shoot it. something about the fireball or something.) after awhile she graduated from her favorite being the .380 to it now being the 9mm…even though she doesnt like anything larger than the 9mm. finally, she decided on a 9mm as the gun she wanted and after buying it is perfectly capable (sort of) shooting it.
tl,dr: any caliber smaller than .380ACP (except .22LR) is shit for shooting people and the reason the calibers are popular is because people who buy them are too stupid, cheap, and lazy to use a real caliber.
good to know if i ever get to have guns.
why dont you make threads to educate the public about the right guns to acquire and what not ??? -

an AR15-type rifle with a 'sawed' pistol-length barrel is useless. literally. it will become single-shot and more likely than not fail to stabilize the bullet causing it to 'keyhole' at any appreciable range, as well as create a nucl-ure fireball at the muzzle.
if i were to make a sawed off m16 i'd do it by sawing it from the handle up and receiver down, for conceal carry.
when your robbing a bank, accuracy is not as important as shock and awe and deterrence effect of lights and sounds of a sawed off m16 can offer.some pistol calibers are capable of being fatal at 100 or even 200 yards. (10mm, most of the ones that have 'magnum' in their name.) i havent found any verifiable sources that identify the range from the shooter to the crowd/parking lot.

The more we learn about the universe, the more it appears to be based on mathematical laws. Perhaps that is not a given, but a function of the nature of the universe we are living in. If I were a character in a computer game, I would also discover eventually that the rules seemed completely rigid and mathematical. If the simulation hypothesis is valid then we open the door to eternal life and resurrection and things that formally have been discussed in the realm of religion.
i thot they're no rules in event horizon -

Originally posted by -SpectraL I actually enjoy roofing. You are up high, with a beautiful view of the city and skyline. Sunny days, drink some beers and smoke a few J's up there, nobody around to bother you. As an added bonus, you get a terrific workout, and your body becomes strong as a tank. Your endurance and stamina is also tested to the maximum. It's really hard work, but just because work is hard doesn't directly translate to it being unfulfilling.
anyone can be a roofer in places with temperate temperature and moderate climates but only the tuff survives roofing in tropical noon heats in 90% humidity.
