I didn't really want to backtrack so I doubled down but my actual everyday carry is an H&K P30 (yes I am an H&K nerd), which is a 9mm handgun.
But I stand by the opinion that a hole in your tits is a hole in your tits, and all posturing about the size of your projectile is ultimately retarded. Go to the range, put 100000 rounds into the broad side of a barn and you'll be a winner. -

the only weight difference between 9mm and .32acp is a somewhat higher pressure, necessitating a SLIGHT increase in metallurgy of moving parts. the weights are virtually identical. 9mm ammo is several orders of magnitude easier to find and afford as well as being more ballistically effective. -

because stupid people dont know any better and are too far embedded in the 'im a speshul uber bottom bitch fag' generation brainwashing. instead of placing a slight effort into the small amount of practice and training that would make 9mm more effective and tolerable, the speshul-uber-bottom-bitch-fags fall back on the smallest caliber that doesnt make them say 'owies...i think i might have chipped a nail with that barely noticeable recoil from that great big bazooka gun.' this is why .25ACP... .32ACP...etc even exist. it is also why the 5.56xshit round is what NATO uses as its primary rifle caliber. the .380ACP has also received a massive boost in popularity over the last few years, even more so than the smaller calibers, but at least .380 is MARGINally effective against humans. the thing that .380ACP and smaller has in common is they are very, very low pressure rounds in comparison to something like a 9mm, meaning the guns are cheaper to make. speaking of cheap...im curious how the manufacturers find it acceptable to sell .380ACP for a higher price than .45ACP...a cartridge that is almost three times larger in size, bullet weight, brass-case weight, and powder capacity.
a lot more women have been getting involved in firearms and they naturally tend to gravitate towards the dainty calibers. the manufacturers making the stupid ass guns in pink and purple with purty flowered-ie designs only encourages this.
example...i had a female acquaintance who was looking to buy her first gun for herself. she was laser-focused on stupid ass .25's... .32's (Tomcat was her prime choice)...and an iffy .380 which was literally, no exaggeration, the same size as the 9mm version of the pistol. after taking her to the range a few times and letting her shoot everything from .380ACP...to 9mm... to .45ACP as well as a couple of rifles i loaded with special no-recoil rounds. (altho...she refused to fire the desert eagle after 'feeling' me shoot it. something about the fireball or something.) after awhile she graduated from her favorite being the .380 to it now being the 9mm...even though she doesnt like anything larger than the 9mm. finally, she decided on a 9mm as the gun she wanted and after buying it is perfectly capable (sort of) shooting it.
tl,dr: any caliber smaller than .380ACP (except .22LR) is shit for shooting people and the reason the calibers are popular is because people who buy them are too stupid, cheap, and lazy to use a real caliber. -

2017-10-03 at 8:15 PM UTCThe .22 is probably one of the most deadliest bullets out there, because its small caliber allows it to bounce around inside your body, tearing through multiple bones, organs, nerves and muscles. A larger caliber will travel more straight lines, whereas the .22 will bounce around like a ping-pong ball inside. Plus, the .22 can get through most of the cheaper body armor, because its narrow diameter gives it an advantage in squeezing through the mesh.
