Focusing on college is a good one. "Yeah I was taking 6 classes and i had all these labs and blah blah blah". As long as you look like a hard worker/dedicated person they won't really care too much.
I always tell them I'm a hard worker (because I am) and I've only had one interview where I wasn't offered the job. I have some more professional experience now though, so I have no idea what I'm going to fucking do. I'm okay interviewing at McDonalds but the thought of going back into an office or managing again just kills me inside. I'm trying hard to find something else, even if I'll be making less than I was.
Pretty stoked though because I nearly doubled my wage in less than a year at my last job, and that's gonna look very good on a resume. Especially once they call my references. I'm friends with all the managers that were in my dept and have hung out with them outside of work and shit, so I know they'll put in a good word for me. But I need to act soon before the 'traveling' gap becomes suspicious. I really just wanna apply at McDonalds and have an easy job again. -
