Real estate agents literally participate in rent seeking behaviours by taking their fee and sometimes doing a microtransaction with their firm to inflate the price and value. This has inflated the Canadian housing market terribly
In terms of social rent seeking behaviours, people giving someone a lighter as if it's a big deal pisses me off. It also pisses me off when you have a conversation with someone specific to their vocation and feel the need to say "thanks" afterwards for them basically answering your questions and doing their job. "Thanks for not being completely incompetent at your job."

I think it's sad that malice is dead because he never really had much of a life. He didn't really understand the world or have a reference point for it, he would just use his autism to try to make sense of it in whatever way he could and when the walls came down he didn't know how to deal with it.
I remember ytter_man on totse was the nicest guy ever with lots of hobbies, then he stole a couple cars and did a home invasion, crashed a car and shot himself in the ditch. That's sad too because he always seemed so good natured and genuine but let a series of unfortunate events define him.
I can't say I understand suicide although I have wanted to die before without the means to achieve that end and that's an insane feeling. I hope that wherever they are they find peace and have gained insight into what made them make that choice
