You clearly don't have any idea of the principles of 12 step programs. You're just trying to find a rigid, narrow, fraudulent definition so you can dismiss it.
It's pretty funny You're literally identifying principles from the program such as a personal inventory and then just going on fedorically about how because their is a mention of a "higher power" that you have a hard time with, using that to dismiss the many other aspects of the program.
I don't have much Love for 12 step programs but trying to dismiss something you don't know anything about because you're an atheist is super cringe. -

I met the author years later (who wanted to have a drink with me but I was on parole and wasn't even allowed to ve where I was at let alone drink in a small town) and he said the kid they got to play thr part I auditioned for was poor and never had good food before so he ate all the catered food everyday, got fat halfway thru and they had to put him on dietary restrictions or he would get fired for being plump and fucking up continuity. The A.A. approach is tried tested and true for a certain kind of addict, it's not for everyone but nothing is. Be grateful you managed to overcome substances without help because not everyone is so fortunate. "Whote knuckling it" rarely works for deep seeded issues that substance abuse is a symptom of. When I drank everyday for years (and also for months as a teenager) I was physically ill and shook/couldn't sleep had many physical/mental effects that required some kind of substitute. That seems to usually be the case with people who define their use as addiction -

There are geothermal hot spots all over Europe and coal requires alot of logistics solutions, tariffs/regulations , big and unsafe process, environmental damage, etc etc etc it's just laziness for keeping infrastructure in place and crooked croney contracts preventing geothermal and other energy solutions from being on a larger scale. Coal is not a big enough industry in Europe now that it requires a stop gap in place that isn't easily fixed. Buying shitty old coal from Russia is doing Russia a favor more than it is by dumb European countries trying to save a few bucks in the short term....for 60 years...until it's already past the point of inefficiency for a plethora of reasons.
