Ok I googled it. It's a type of defense mechanism.
I was wondering why I haven't heard of the concept since I:
1. Have a B.A. in Psychology.
2. Had a focal interest in cognition and memory.
Basically, defense mechanisms are rooted in the psychoanalytic tradition originating with Sigmund Freud, and so they have kind of a shaky empirical foundation.
But they are an interesting topic though.
Although I have no idea why the texture of my hair as a child would be traumatizing in any way. -

Clean meth definitely means "less unhealthy", which is why I use a complicated chemical washing procedure to remove (most of) the impurities. But it still has some long-lasting effects on the body and especially the brain.
I'm already starting to feel kinda anhedonic and apathetic (probably due to depleted dopamine). -
