Gadzooks, I would figure that a long-lasting pharmaceutical in valium and a big-time depressant in large amounts, ethyl alcohol, would easily override a short-lived psychostimulant in crack cocaine. With your body chemistry, I guess that's not the case.
You're pretty much spot on there.
The thing is, crack is VERY short lasting, but it is BY FAR the most euphoric drug in existence if you get the good stuff.
Its literally 30-60 seconds of a high for $5-$10... The thing is, though, it's just absolutely divine.
MDMA comes pretty darn close, and lasts way longer, but it's not easy to just go out in the streets and grab some. It's a slightly more niche product. I live in a ghetto hood where everyone does meth and heroin, and a handful do coke, crack, or GHB. -

I was always meant to read Huxley's "Brave new world", I heard good things. I am also very eager to read "Utopia", by Thomas More who Henry VIII had executed. It was suppose to be ahead of it's time, even the USSR had a special affection for this man hundreds of years later.

In fact, he was likely influenced by some of the Hellenistic Stoic philosophers. Most of them were supportive of a person's right to terminate their own lives.
Aurelius is a personal favorite, and I have read through his Meditations a few times over the years.
But The Stranger and The Myth of Sysiphys are relatively light reading and, I admire the Shulginsrespect, because they were the original diversified drug supply -

I think my relationships with my parents and step parents are probably why I'm a 34 year old bachelor with no prospects in sight and MAJOR commitment issues.
