TOTSE was started by Jeff Hunter, real name unknown (a founding member of NIRVANAnet)[1] in 1989 as a dial-up BBS originally named "& the Temple of the Screaming Electron". The original &TOTSE specialized in small text files. (Hunter had an old 8088 PC XT clone with limited hard drive space; small text files were the only data he could store in reasonable quantity.)[1]
TOTSE became available on the Internet in 1997, and the dial-up BBS system was discontinued in the spring of 1998.

no we were explicitly designed to work out how to use tools and manipulate fire. then after over a million years of cooking food we evolved into what we are now. cooking allowed our bodies to make the most of the nutritional value of the food we consumed giving us more brain power which in turn gave us more time to spend on other things. like making more tools and developing culture. but nature gave us the ability to do that in the first place.

Well, despite what I've been doing for a little while now, and would like to agree with that statement regarding prostitution, it can be argued it can harm the community because say married guy comes and sees someone who has an STD, contracts it, then brings it home to his wife/girlfriend/other prostitute... Now you're carrying it to others whom had no direct contact with that prostitute, and that could be one person or a dozen others,thus spreading the disease.
That's where legalization comes into play to make things safer. If legalized, sex workers get tested regularly, there is regulation, and far less pressure on them to not use condoms and safe sex practices. Along with making it safer for providers all the way around.
