steam bundled with wine is really just a half-measure though, it still relies on windows binaries and encourages devs to keep using DX and co. At the moment AMD/ATI is doing great things in terms of open specifications and driver support for lunix, nvidia is still lagging behind but is improving slowly. Once driver support is up there it's a matter of encouraging devs to build working lunix ports and use less closed standards, so keep supporting devs like Aspyr for that.
