CF makes a good point for a Chromebook. If you can work efficiently with Google Docs rather than a desktop word processor, I think that you'll find it more than adequate. Cloud integration is a becoming a very important aspect of my workflow and I think you'll benefit greatly from being able to access and edit documents from multiple devices. I consider it a must, if you opt for the Chromebook.

I have this generic player I got for $60 on Amazon. I have a sizeable collection of records from my grandfather, as well as some that belonged to my dad and uncle when they were my age. On my own, I have a few Radiohead, some Bowie, Segovia, and Gershwin.

My parents enrolled me in countless park district activities when I was little because I always had so much energy. I remember being put in soccer, floor hockey, basketball, swimming and baseball. Ultimately I gave it all up, but I was particularly good at baseball and track, and mediocre in swimming, all of which I continued until high school.

Each beating was a life changing event for me, and not strictly in a good sense. I cowered in a corner and howled and whimpered at the top of my lungs, pleading for the pain to stop. That sounds awful, I usually didn't come away having sustained injuries. My parents were careful like that, not like how some people beat you with fruit to avoid leaving bruises, just that they usually stuck to the belt and hit me over my clothes so it wouldn't leave marks.

I remember when I was 7 and I figured out that violence against children is against the law and that there are agencies that prosecute this. Sometimes when I got beaten I would threaten to call the police, and my parents would tell me, "Go ahead, they'll take you away from us and you'll grow up on a farm" and then they'd beat me harder.

I never remember to fold my clothes. I've been meaning to get a dresser so they don't just sit in a heap at the bottom of my closet. I also have a stereo that my uncle gave me a couple years ago and its components remain strewn about my room, waiting to be assembled. I got a free trial with Experian to check my credit options, but I forgot to cancel and now they keep trying to bill my maxed out Discover card.

My neighbor was getting rid of these two kitchen stools and offered them to me, and I took them because they're of sound construction. Now I have nowhere to put them and no need to use them, and they're taking up space in the most awkward way.

I also got a nightstand that I wanted to convert into a litterbox, but my cat hates it.

I have several bookcases full because I'm always buying books that are a good deal, like from used bookstores and such, but I lack the attention span to read more than a few chapters of anything that isn't for school. Not the worst thing, considering that I really need to focus on my coursework, but I'd really like to be able to speak intelligently on Blake's anarchism or Etruscan pottery. Philosophy is the largest genre because it's my major and I never get rid of thee textbooks, followed by history, then poetry, then novels, then new age bullshit.

I do the same thing and people will ask me if I'm bisexual, but that question makes me uncomfortable. Like, I'm just expressing my admiration for a dude who clearly works hard to have a totally hot bod, and they have to go labeling it like it's some deviant activity to see beauty in someone's aesthetic appeal, hard work, and commitment to fitness.

Yeah, I don't know what wasn't to like. He was a nice guy and although it seemed pretty random to make him admin, he earnestly tried his best to improve the site. Nobody looks good when they get appointed randomly to a position that's already under fire, but there were definitely worse choices. Maybe things just looked different in the mod forum.
