No, I've known loads of smack users who just don't have it in them to steal and often spend long periods in withdrawals because they can't get money. They do gear when they get paid for as long as their money lasts then rely on handouts. A lot have taken to begging as well now too.
Personally I would always steal or deal to pay for my habit but always stole from shops and businesses. I couldn't steal peoples personal property, unless I knew they were millionaires. From experience I've seen that smack addiction doesn't make you commit crimes that normally you would avoid doing on moral grounds. People who burgle peoples homes or rob their own families were already that kind of cunt in the first place, the gear just gives them more reasons and more often the reason to do what they would have had no problem doing in the first place.
I've known very few smackheads over the years that would do that sort of shit. Its just the media always highlights when it does happen and will report those few instances in such a way to give the impression to the public that it is common practice with drug users. The media always jump on any opportunity to demonize drug users and make dragons out of them.

my sister? when she was 18 she was a severe alcoholic and she left home and shacked up with some old weird guy. we didn't realize at the time but she was also severely mentally ill as well, but we put all the weird behavior down to the drinking. anyway this guy she was with was into tarot and ouiji boards and all that shit. one night he decided he wanted to let out his inner demons or some stupid shit, and to do this he had to stab himself six times in the chest while he got my sister to stab him six times in the back as well. so she got arrested for murder and while on remand they figured she was mentally ill so she was sectioned indefinitely to a secure psychiatric facility. the first 10 years she spent at broadmoor, then they moved her on.

where i live they are starting to show up in larger numbers and ive talked with people who live on the barrier islands near me and they say shortly after the coyotes showed up is when pets started magically disappearing…including the feral cat population, although im a supporter of the feral cat population being extinct-ed as well.
