now that syria is starting to fizzle out the american govt need another foreign 'crazed enemy of the west' to scare the living shit out of americans so they all get totally psyched into believing that their very existence relies on the US govt to protect them. and that despite everything else, the US govt totally has 'their best interests at heart'. and so ensuring a largely conformist population of good little scared citizens that will continue allowing the govt to spend a shit ton of their tax dollars on all those nice shiny expensive toys their arms industry buddies are selling them.

the law is an ass on this issue for sure. i mean i agree it is a womans body and she ultimately gets to say who fucks her. but then its pretty fucking ridiculous when a woman agrees to let a dude in, then 'changes' her mind 3 seconds before he busts a nut and then cries rape when he doesn't immediately pull out. i mean how can women expect equality and to be respected as an intelligent entity capable of making her own decisions on a level with her male counterparts if she isn't even capable of exercising a little foresight when it comes to whether she wants to bang somebody or not. in fact i'd go as far as to say that she definitely was exercising foresight in that situation and was clearly being a manipulating bitch trying to use the law to screw somebody over because of whatever head fucky shit she got going on. the law really needs to start considering this shit.

its the current irresponsible supply line thats the cause of overdose. people don't overdose just coz they got greedy or forgot when they last had a hit ffs. one thing smackheads are very much aware of is dosages and when they last used and when they'll next use. but the illegal supply doesn't give vital information like the purity of any particular serving. and it can vary wildly, making it impossible to know if this hit is the same strength as the last one, or half as much, twice as much, sometimes it can be ten or even twenty times as much and then overdose. couple that with the fact that because of the fear of prohibition causes people to hide away to fix up where there is nobody around to help if they do go over. and you've just created the factors necessary for a very deadly situation.
even decriminalization won't change that much tho as it usually only applies to possession, the dealers would stay the same. if you sourced heroin from a pharmacy like any other drug then it would be supplied very responsibly and the purity would be listed on the box. it could even be rationed, so it would be harder to obtain a lethal dose in one go.
