    actually, this is something ive been seeing a lot of lately. some scientists do some research on something, then internet bloggers come along and interpret that research in ways it should have never been interpreted because theyre uneducated dumb fucks that dont know the first thing about what theyre writing about, then a bunch of equally dumb fucks go on to read the blogs and then assume that "science" is lying/wrong/racist/whatever. science is just experimental testing of a hypothesis. it doesnt have an opinion, it just observes reality.

    Of course you shouldn't rely on anecdotes, but those of you who don't suffer from in-group bias, or a bias against them, and attempt to see things as objectively as possible can think of vegetarians/vegans you have known IRL and will likely notice that they tend to be far more mentally unstable and overall less mentally healthy. As a group, they often contain some of the sickest people around, particularly those that are activists, engage in protests, and especially the militant.
