that fucking guy. I remember him posting weekly threads where he was obviously full of stims, talking about how he wanted to rape his sister. then he got into heroin and stealing ladders/selling them for aluminium to pay for it. then he got way into the Klan, had a cross burning ceremony on his farm and never heard from him again -
2017-04-17 at 4:38 PM UTC in Conflict ShitpileSame as I said earlier in this thread, I don't think anything's really changed regarding the big picture - the missile barrage failed to disable Al-Qusayr/Al-Shayrat airbase so the SAA are still trying to push into Homs and smash up all of Al-Qaeda's toys... They've been rather quiet as of late so I suspect they're regrouping and locking down the city.
The SAA need to break AQ as soon as possible so they can commit the bulk of their forces to Raqqa, because the US is planning on partitioning off a Kurdish state there once they get ISIS out of the city (one way or another) likely by establishing a 'peacekeeping mission'. I believe that was one of the big reasons for the missile attack; to slow the SAA down, but Russian ECMs prevented major damage to the airbase.
One thing has changed come to think of it - I believe the Iraqi PMUs, specifically Barzani's Kurd militias are planning on entering into Syria once Mosul is retaken - ostensibly to fight in Raqqa and be used as the base for a Kurdish state (the Syrian-Kurdish militias are generally loyal to Assad). -

SYRIA - So apparently AQ were gearing up to launch chemical attacks in two towns in eastern Damascus, but the intelligence services found out about it and passed info on to local authorities.
On a similar note, I was wrong about AQ/ISIS not being able to bring sarin to the battlefield - according to SAA sources, they're regularly attacked with sarin and chlorine in that area (Qaboun/north-east Damascus/eastern Ghouta). At one point there were chemical attacks several times a day, but the SAA know it's coming so with gas masks and antidotes they don't suffer many fatalities. -

yeah a couple of people in different timezones get 'hide' privileges to hide threads, lanny gets a list and chooses whether to hard-delete them to prevent abuse seems like a good idea
bot spam actually isn't that common though; usually a wall of posts every few weeks -

2017-04-16 at 5:44 PM UTC in Conflict Shitpilealso lol@ BBC and other news outlets claiming that 'there's no evidence rebels detonated the bus bombs'.
nevermind that they're the only ones in the war who use VBIEDs and there's a video of a blue van departing rebel territory and exploding next to the buses floating about -

lol, it was actually mortars last time. not a bad way to go, all things considered
Originally posted by Fox Paws It's to make the North Korean government look weak and embarrass them in front of the people. If Kim Jong-un could just blame someone else then it would mean they aren't at fault. If it looks like an accident then they just look inept. So it's basically a propaganda campaign.
I don't think it was outside sabotage - the US is itching for a reason to attack; if they had the capability to sabotage those missiles I'd doubt we'd see them explode on the launch platform -

Originally posted by Hash Slinging Slasher I always thought 12.5% was a reasonable number to get into the debates. Although seeing how much damage is being done by this two party system, lowering the threshold sure couldn't hurt anything
Edit: Then again any candidate not present at primary debates wouldn't stand a chance of getting 12.5% so we probably should lower it. I forgot about that.
if I remember right (I only read about it once) the initial cutoff was 5%, then Ross Perot nearly got in and they shit the proverbial bed, DNC and RC agreed to raise the cutoff to 12.5% so it'd never happen again.
