The problem with "all lives matter" is that it is retarded and completely mischaracterizes the point of saying "black lives matter". The point isn't that only black lives matter but that black lives are undervalued by the institutions of the United states. In a nutshell, their message is "black lives matter as well". Of course all lives matter, that's not the point, it is just a dumb ass way to mischaracterize that point to imply that they're saying only black lives matter, which they are not.
Blue Lives Matter is fucking idiotic. One, you choose to work as a cop. You don't get to choose to be black. Again, the point is not to say that cops' lives don't matter (although, fuck the police). But cops' lives, again, are not undervalued. They are treated as heroes and get paid vacation when they beat the shit out of someone without cause, or kill them. BLM is not an organization, it is a collection of different movements centered around black issues in America. What Alicia Garza supports has no reflection on what the movement at large represents or stands for. That's literally guilt by association. And again, you are mischaracterizing the point of saying "black lives matter" and not "all lives matter"; of course all lives matter, but yes they do, but black lives are undervalued more than any other in the USA.
Example:
- You and Tyshawn go to the cafeteria lady
- She gives you and everyone else a full plate, and then gives Tyshawn a half plate

Could you provide me a direct link to where "they" have published these demands? Again, BLM is not an organization. It's a name for several movements.It's funny how these marches never focus on the real issue, which is blacks killing other blacks. You are way, way, way more likely to be killed by some nigga on your way to the corner store than you are to be killed by some racist cop. Racism is such a non-issue in this country anyway. This is one of the most tolerant and racially heterogeneous countries in the world. Not that it doesn't exist, but like, man.
Look at what they do to black people in places like India. Literally beating black people in a mob. I'm sure your country has similar issues. Look at how racially charged Africa is. Or Greece. Look at how they treat foreigners in China. One of my favorite youtubers in China (serpentza) one time got beat up in a mob after standing up for himself so that he didn't get robbed.
When is the last time a nationalist or racist movement has hit the streets in America with any amount of support? When is the last time somebody has gotten beat up in public by a mob for being a different race? I mean, you don't hear about police brutality in other countries because it happens so fucking often it wouldn't be pertinent.
This is a GREAT country to fucking live in comparatively, everybody just wants to make it seem terrible so they have something to bitch about. These marching street nigs should be happy they have the right to even protest, let alone have it tolerated that they block off entire highways. You know what happens when people do this in other countries? They get shot or gassed or have tanks sent at them.
Kinda went off mark, but yeah. The whole black lives matter movement is fucking retarded, and it doesn't focus on any real issues that would actually help anybody. I want to see marches for health care and net neutrality, not this shit.

Ah good, now we're getting to the real conversation.
Part of what BLM addresses is the legacy of racism in the US, and how it impacts the black community today. This includes black on black violence.
My first question to you is, why do you think blacks are disproportionately represented in crime statistics? I'm not talking about arrests or anything. Lets agree that blacks DO commit proportionately more crimes than any other race in the US. Why is that? Do you believe in some kind of biological negroism that predisposes them to crime? Because that would be a completely scientifically baseless idea.
If you're reasonable, you'll agree that the reason blacks commit more crimes is because of reasons such as the fact that they are overrepresented in the poorest segments of american society, by proportion, and have cultural problems (for example the glorification of criminal activity) that promotes crime. Poverty breeds crime; even in mostly racially/culturally homogenous societies, the majority of crime (basically all violent crime) is committed by poor people, and it's committed against other poor people.
Ghettos and other low income areas are pits of crime, and the only way to address it is through, you know, raising general standards of living and giving poor people the option to do shit that isn't crime. Things like after school programs, "big brother" programs and so on, have actually been shown to be very effective at keeping kids off the street and away from crime in impoverished neighborhoods. Truancy rates are directly related to crime rates in poor teenagers.
BLM's position is that the reason why blacks are disproportionately represented in crime statistics is because they are disproportionately represented in lower income brackets and neighbourhoods, and the reason for that in turn is because of the legacy of racism in the US, from things like Jim Crow laws, which were actually, factually, literally responsible for the creation of the most problematic ghettos in the United States today. And unless you're willing to disagree on reality and facts (and thus want to blame it on some essential negroism), I don't really see how you can dispute that.
BLM's position, then, is that black communities need to be helped out and put back onto the same level as other racial groups in the US, and they need help from the government and other communities to do so. The argument is that they are and were undervalued as citizens, and that's the root cause of their specific position within the US, as a race.
The common counterargument is that black communities need to simply help themselves out; black kids just need to make the choice to stay in school, black people just need to make the choice to not commit crime, black people just need to make the choice to "get better". That's a red herring, because of course they need to do those things, that's not the argument, the argument is about what goes into making those choices possible and feasible.
And to that end, you basically have to invoke the Libertarian Free Will meme, as if some kid in a single parent household where his mama is working 2 jobs and can't keep an eye on him all day is in the position to just "make the right choice" out of thin air, like his personality isn't shaped by the environment he's living in and the opportunities available to him. Again, that's a philosophically and scientifically untenable position.
That's the crux of BLM's ideas. There are more extreme sections of the community, but hopefully you can see that's not all of it. It's easy to pick apart a straw man, but it doesn't get you anywhere. You should apply the principle of charity to viewpoints that are not aligned with your own.

Nobody gives a fuck about morale boosts, if they're reaching out for help, it's probably because they have already thought about the issue and have run out of ideas, and they have weighed up options they came up with and didn't like them.
This can be the case for one of two reasons: 1) these options are genuinely not helpful, or 2) the options are helpful but they're not desirable due to emotional factors.
If dealing with 1) the best we can do is have him explain his reasoning for why he doesn't do X or Y or Z.
If dealing with 2) we have to encourage him to cut the Gordian knot, rip off the band aid, and take the emotional hit. Emotional hurts heal. And then he'll be glad he did it. Kind of like me ending it with my girlfriend.

Part 1:

- Part of fulfilling [CONDITION] is following a house rule: "don't bring [BLUE SOCKS] into my house"
Part 3:
- I'm rooting through a bathroom cabinet, I find [BLUE SOCKS]
- Confront her, talk to her like an adult and tell her "[BLUE SOCKS] are not allowed in my house, that was part of us rebuilding trust"
- Her response: "I'm fulfilling other parts of [CONDITION] therefore I don't need to abide by your house rule, and your house rule is simply in place to control me"
- We argue, I tell her not to violate my rules again and that fulfilling [CONDITION] does not mean she can violate my house rules, we both apparently resolve it and she promises to fully fulfill [CONDITION]
Part 4:
- I bring home [PIZZA]
- I can make [PIZZA] last for a week
- Open up the fridge 1/2 of all the [PIZZA] is gone
- Whatever; sit down with her, talk to her about not eating all the [PIZZA]
- Get more [PIZZA], give her [SLICE] and say "this is your dinner for tonight. please leave the rest of the [PIZZA] for me"
Note: My only issue is that she is selfishly inconveniencing me like some kind of [person with an eating disorder]. I don't care about the cost of the pizza, it's just not fair that I only ever get to eat one slice.
Part 5:
Happened as of yesterday
- Motherfucking half my [PIZZA] is gone again
- I talk to her, she straight up lies instantly, and a blatant and obvious lie that there is no way I do not see through.
- Whatever, tell her not to eat [PIZZA]
- Next morning, I find [BLUE SOCKS] hidden away again, but this time more cleverly
- I confront her
- Literally the exact same response and argument as last time
- No apologies
- No regret
- Same exact answer as last time, which I can rationally and logically demonstrate to her is bullshit, yet she will not agree to my house rules again.
Conclusion: GTFO
My reasoning: I cannot trust her to change her ways. She already said she would, and used it as cover to step outside of her boundaries, and clearly does not give a fuck about making up for her mistakes, following my house rules etc. Any extra chances I give her will simply be used to transgress again. She is completely unapologetic, so there is no chance to salvage trust.
Fuck, I still love her and care about her and shit, but I can't live my life with someone who doesn't respect all that I've put up with and done for them, and are willing to shit on my trust because they cannot resist the urge for [PIZZA] and [BLUE SOCKS]. A doctor should fight to do with drugs and by telling them to stop smoking and also by respecting whatever bullshit wordplay they want, because anything else is detrimental to the patient's health. The job of a doctor is not to be 'right' it is to take care of their patients.
This bill does not account for mistakes like you just described. It specifically says "repeatedly." So if you just make a mistake or two, whatever. This only effects people who are repeatedly pissing off their patients.

First impression has more to do with looks than relation building. I'm not a liberal but i will tell you that people will judge you on how you make them feel.
