There's so much going on right now (Saudi Arabia and Lebanon mostly, but other actors are using it as cover too) it's hard to make realistic predictions.

SAUDI ARABIA - Saudi Arabia is imploding. As mentioned before, Prince Salman knows that Saudi Arabia's current political and economic trajectory is heading for disaster, so the only option that makes sense to him is the radical change that the House of Saud has been avoiding for decades. On the face of it, he's putting an end to corruption and the associated drain on the state and economy, but what's really happening is he's using corruption as a pretext to stop a coup before it happens. There's been intense infighting among the royals at the best of times but the pressure on the kingdom is unprecedented:

    - They're being eclipsed in every way by Iran; from regional influence to the lifting of sanctions breaking the Gulf states' hold on the oil industry. Their oil supplies are not limitless and being unable to control prices has decimated their primary industry (not to mention being forced to drop oil prices through the floor for the last few years in a misguided effort to punish Russia).

    - Their proxies, both Al-Nusra and ISIS affiliates in Syria, have been pulverised by the RAAF and SAA and abandoned by the US... The 'revolution' they gambled so much on has been almost completely reversed.

    - They're not only losing the war within Yemen, the Yemeni forces are actually striking back at them hard with TBMs, their range and accuracy greatly augmented by both the soldiers' experience and transfer of Iranian missile tech.

All that stress has smashed the Royal family, the government and even the army down factional (tribal) lines. Prince Salman has been facing plot after plot to dethrone him, and he's arresting anyone who isn't supportive of his rule.

The problem for him is that various princes have broad support in various places, and he's creating animosity in those areas when placing them under arrest. The army, for example is the key to power in the country, and it's on the verge of tearing itself apart over split loyalties.

This is pretty amusing to watch, but becomes more sinister when you look at what's going on in Lebanon. Basically the Lebanese president, a hardline US-Israel supporter, has stepped down claiming that he 'fears for his life' over 'Iranian assassins'. This has opened up rifts in the government between Hezbullah and it's supporters and those who support the west (the majority of the people support Hezbullah/Iran, but the split is fairly even in the government).

The situation in and of itself is precarious, but diplomatic cables have also been leaked recently that show Israel is actively colluding with Saudi Arabia in plans to destabilise and break up Lebanon, as both countries have been openly terrified of a 'Shiia crescent' forming, an alliance spanning from Iran, to Iraq and Syria to Lebanon. The main fear is that they would work together in the case of another war with Israel, creating an enormous front that would spread the IDF out too far to have any hope of defending, as well as co-ordinating military systems such as how Russia and Syria are operating now.

Whether a major war in Lebanon kicks off probably depends on two things:

    1. Who comes out on top in KSA. The best result for Israel is Prince Salman controlling the country, which is a bet against the odds so you can be sure that Israel and the US are covertly 'stacking the deck' in his favour, one way or another. If the country implodes or an anti-Israel prince takes power, the future becomes unpredictable.

    2. What happens in Lebanon. Even in their staggering arrogance the Israelis understand there's less risk to their people if they can effect some sort of breakup or civil war politically - agents are already working toward these ends. If unrest builds into open warfare, Israel will likely wait until the parties are sufficiently weakened and start occupying more Lebanese lands. If not, there are other options (mercenaries, using Wahabbi ideology and the promise of an anti-Shia holy war etc.) to start with, but it'll likely end with a Saudi-Israeli invasion.

Sorry if that's hard to read, stream of consciousness and all that

  2. The basic idea is essentially this mmQ:

    - Dungeon Master is "the storyteller"

DM tells the story, creates scenarios and directs players through their campaign

    - Players are characters within the story

Players decide how their characters react to the scenarios created by the DM

    - Dice are fate

The DM decides how probable it is for your action to work and assigns it a number value on a die or dice, and what skills it pertains to. The player rolls the dice, see if they hit/surpass or miss the target to see if they succeed, and by how much.

    - Stats are your influence on fate

Lets say you roll a 9 and have +4 to a skill, you are basically given a 4 point bonus when you roll for that skill.

    For example:

DM: Standing before you, you see a wild nigga! He's about to chimp out on you! What shalt thou doest?

mmQ: I pull out my glock faster than he can and shoot him in the face, shouting "break yoself, foo!"

DM: That requires extreme speed and dexterity. Roll a D20 (20 sided die) for 17 dexterity and a D20 for 14 speed.

mmQ: *rolls dice, dexterity roll lands on 13, speed roll lands on 9*

DM: That plus your +4 to dexterity means you hit the dexterity level exactly, but your +3 to speed only gives you 12. That means you are slightly too slow.

You reach for your glock and unholster it smoothly as you shout "BREAK YOSELF, FO!". You quickly begin to fire, but you are just a tad too slow! The nigga has already swung at you and catches you in the jaw, dazing you for one turn and taking 3HP! However your first shot hits him in the face anyway, and the foo goes down. That'll teach him to ride up on you.

    2. You know who doesn't even have the opportunity to get into debt? Nepal. 15% below the poverty line is fucking good. 47% of sub-saharan Africa lives on $2 or less.

Why are you comparing the 'indispensible nation' with third world countries? Of course the master is going to live better than the slaves he exploits.

    3. Which American citizens are being taken to Guantanamo? Aren't there something like 50 prisoners there total? Anti-hate crime convictions are not handed out for expressing yourself. I can go out on the street and scream about killing niggers and they won't arrest me. I can wave a Nazi flag if I want. Not sure what you mean by anti-pedo laws, do you think child porn should be protected? I don't…

    1. It's just Guantanamo. It was just MKULTRA. And ARTECHOKE. AIR AMERICA. It's not like it could get out of control, right? Not like there's a pattern of government agencies showing complete contempt for the people they're supposed to represent and protect.
    2. I guarantee if you were to march down the street yelling about killing niggers and waving an NSDAP flag the police would get involved.
    3. athletic abilities. Hate crime laws, anti-paedophilia laws and anti-terrorism laws have undermined both the spirit and the letter of the first amendment.

    4. I've lived in the rural south and have a family full of immigrants. People are pretty fucking open to other races here, Australian. Look at countries like India where crowds beat black people to death just for being black, or China where they have a class system (huji) that means ethnic minorities cannot even leave their province to work legally. Don't let that SJW bullshit you see on the news sway you. Have you even been to America?

Not even worth addressing, really - the country that, up until 8 years ago, gave far more serious sentences for freebase cocaine (crack) vs the hydrochloride salt because it was a 'black person's drug' claims not to be racist because the rape capital of the world doesn't like black people. Yes I've been to the US, not recently though.

    I've traveled more than you.

Back to the comparison to Nepal or Africa (lol). This is exactly the problem I'm pointing out. The US had every advantage and yet their infrastructure is crumbling, poverty is comparable with upper-third-world countries and the education system is sub-par.

The US rose to prominence after WWII because it was the only industrialised country to not have it's economy and manufacturing base completely decimated. It was in a similar position after forcing Russia into an economic war of attrition, giving it almost 60 years of unchallenged economic and military dominance.

What did it do with this massive lead on the rest of the world? Where did the profits go? Instead of remaining competitive and improving infrastructure, the so-called 1% hoarded the profits for themselves and instead of improving the quality of life for the people and building a sustainable future, they focused all their efforts into hamstringing the rest of the world. Wars of aggression to restrain 'communist' influence, 60+ operations to overthrow or otherwise interfere with 'unfriendly' foreign governments and proxy control of energy, using the flow of fuels to control the development of 'friendly' nations while halting the developments of 'hostile' nations.

Basically - yes, living in the US is more comfortable than living in a third-world country. The sky is also blue and the water is also wet. Given every advantage in the world, US living conditions are far below what they could - or should - be. In a situation where they could've been truly prosperous, they instead chose to use it to export misery to the world and throw the scraps to the people.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or just have no idea who Bill Krozby is, but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

In addition to almost 7 years as a confessed bomb and tectonic plates expert, he's moderated the largest bomb and tectonic plate forum on the Internet (at over 2 million subscribers) for over a year. You think he doesn't know bombs and tectonic plates? In that time he's removed over 400 posts for not following subreddit guidelines. In addition to his moderation responsibilities he's one of the most active writers on knowyourbombsandtectonicplates.com.

You think Bill Krozby doesn't know bombs and tectonic plates?? Then how does he write articles about them on a site called bombsandtectonicplates? Several mainstream blogs have contacted him to ask about the recent bomb and tectonic plate phenomenon and each has been thankful and enlightened with what he had to tell them. It's not just limited to blogs though. Several companies have asked him to review their bomb and tectonic related ads to avoid a failure like Toyota's bomb and tectonic plate commercial. Just last week a major food company contacted him with a paid offer to help them on a new ad campaign. He declined when he researched the company and saw that they had contributed money to socially conservative groups.

It's safe to say that Bill Krozby is one of the world's foremost experts on bombs and tectonic plates and in fact there is no one I can think of that has a bomb and tectonic plate resume as impressive as his. So please tell me, what are your qualifications to say that Bill Krozby don't know what about bombs and tectonic plates?

Yeah, the entire point of trying to block Russian gas from the European market was to force the Europeans to buy US gas instead, shipped across the Atlantic at like 5x the price - Germany knows the EU can't afford it which is one of the reasons they're negotiating more and more with Russia in terms of trade (mostly).

There's only been one real cost analysis of the impact of the Crimea sanctions, and it puts market losses for Russia at 40 billion... and the EU at 80. On the face of it, the EU has lost twice as much as Russia for being a lapdog, but not even that is necessarily accurate - concurrent to the Crimea sanctions, the US has also been using the Gulf states' market position to drop the price of oil through the floor in an attempt to crash Russia and Iran's economies. It's very difficult to tell what of the losses reate to either cause meaning the 40 billion loss could be an EXCLUSIVE RESULT OF OIL PRICES; that the EU swallowed an $80 billion market loss for zero reason whatsoever

Planets, stars etc are roughly spherical because they are big enough to achieve hydrostatic equilibrium, and the fact that it's spherical is because of a coincidence with the fact that the sphere is the default shape of a force etc that is uniform in all directions, in this case it is gravity. Theres no reason to believe there is any "continuity", neither "upwards" on the scale, nor "downwards".

Essentially the only reason this idea exists is because the Bohr atomic model looks kinda like the solar system, and the Bohr model is outdated and only used for teaching purposes.

Yeah, but that's probably because I called him a faggot before I knew he was gay and just never stopped.

Eh it's probably not like that, in fact I bet it rarely even gets brought up because there's just no reason to really bring it up the same way there isn't a reason to bring up the fact that straight people are straight every time you get together. How gay is he if you don't mind me asking on a scale of 1 - Elton John?

When I was younger I disliked gays in general, but I eventually came to the conclusion that it wasn't the gays themselves that I had a problem with - it's the LGBTQWERTY 'popular culture' and it's associated activist groups.

On one hand I find the act repulsive, on the other I could best be categorised as something of a libertarian so it doesn't really concern me if they want to... get muddy.

Popular gay culture, though, ie. hypersexualisation of everything, dissolution of tradition and societal norms, hedonism, narcissism, poorly-masked nihilism, 'hookup culture' and the like have an impact on the rest of society, especially through 'gay activists' who specifically try to normalise this behaviour.

I like to think my brother feels, to some extent, the same way - he doesn't partake in that sort of thing, goes to clubs and stuff every now and again but has been in a long-term relationship for a while, and got kicked out of a university 'gay collective' for telling them it was counterproductive to treat everyone who doesn't agree with them as enemies.

    So uh, 3?

I wonder how many of the GAYLETTERS community fall into the encouragement camp and actively try or hope to try and influence their kid to definitely be at least bi-sexual. I'd LIKE to think it's not qs high of a number as it might seem, giving credit to common decency and common sense that hopefully even the most flamboyant of gays can discern the difference between encouraging their children to be a certain way and encouraging them to just be who they want to be.

too politicised to know for sure, I've seen some truly awful news and social media postings though.

It will be interesting to see 50 years from now how this era of more gay openness and acceptance winds up impacting the overall demographic cuz like you said kids are becoming more familiar with gay concepts at younger ages and the taboo nature of it all is slowly, and I do mean slowly, FAGGOT, making way for a more nonchalant view of others having different attractions.

The pendulum's swinging back toward traditionalism (in the west). Over the last 30 years or so the general societal perspective has pushed so far left of centre (ie. leftist groups using popular culture as a force multiplier to push issues and social conversations toward 'progressivism') that a rebound has become inevitable - the rise of the 'alt-right' and more public 'acceptance' of white nationalism and ethnocentrism are a symptom of this... Not the reaction in and of themselves that the media makes them out to be.

Assuming western society lasts that long I'd doubt we'll end up back in the days where homsex was illegal, but this ridiculous culture of glorifying anyone who goes against the norm will end and hopefully soon.

And I agree that that 30% figure would go down as the PRIDE movement begins to shift into less of a HEY I'M A GAY TODAY, HEY HEY! type attitude and hopefully a more relaxed 'yee im gay whatever you wanna get high or what bro?' attitude. The pressure for kids who might feel 'different' feelings will decrease as well so I'd bet the overall numbers go up to like maybe even 10% population is openly gay affiliated.

I think statistically in the west around 7-9% people identify as homo-erectus

On a related note if someone could tell me why far more men are attracted to lesbians than women are attracted to gay dudes, that'd be great. Or why homophobes mostly don't carry an equal disdain for female homosexuality. I don't need an answer to the last one- it's always come to my mind as this laughable underlying and rarely addressed truth behind the whole "gay debate."

    1. I think it's a function of what men and women typically desire in a sexual relationship; men typically value the physical component whereas women seek the emotional component. In lesbians men see 2x the physical component whereas a woman watching two dudes swordfight gets no emotional gratification because they're concentrating on each other.
