You can still part large JSON files but it gets to be more complicated, at that point possibly worth considering the kludgier "treat it as a string and use regex" approach".
You're right that you can't match a regular expression against a dictionary, only strings, but what you probably want to do is iterate over the keys of the JSON where you know this address might exist and match each of those values. E.g. if you JSON looks like:
{
"items": [
{
"addr": "Opts:map[Addr:0.tcp.domain.com:15273]",
"foo": 42
},
...
]
}
Then you would want to do something like:
ports = []
for item in loaded_json['items']:
match = re.match(r'(?:tcp://)?0\.tcp\.domain\.com:(\d+)', item['addr'])
if match:
ports.append(match.groups(1))
The regular expression there assumes the domain will always be "0.tcp.domain.com", and the protocol will either be "tcp" or omitted. If that's not a reasonable assumption it can be generalized.

I really don't know much about MH 17 because I heard grainy audio of Russians talking about a "bird" flying over towards them. They also tried to use the sunflower field with the bodies as leverage afterwards.

He's just a farm hand, living rurally, good humble man. He's worked a bunch of different hard working type jobs, never exploited his intelligence. But in his place he's got like thousands of theories and maths and he's doing so many good things to advance us. He's not spoken of or known really, but hes trying to do good. I really liked it. He didn't use a bunch of pretentious words or try to seem like some smarty pants.
Which reminded me of something someone said, not sure who, something to the effect of 'if you can't explain what you're saying to a 6 year old, you don't know what you're saying.'
Obviouslt that isn't holistically true but it's a thing Ive always believed too kinda. If you're smart, explain things in the simplest possible way. There's no reason not to. -
