    So what's the reasonable interpretation of throwing someone out of a car on a freeway while allegedly intoxicated or dealing with drug addiction? If a drunk person drives and gets into a collision they may have had a diminished capacity to drive and couldn't have avoided it since they were drunk, but they're still responsible for putting themselves in that situation in the first place.

    For the record, I'm not "pro-fucking-kids".

    But I like Sophie/Psychomanthis.

    And I don't really care if that makes it sounds like I'm defending "sex with children."

    Anyone who knows me knows that I do not promote such things.

    But he's not some kind of cartoon villain though.

    I just won't stand idly by while people make him out to be any such thing.

    They even track what you delete when you type something to study self-censorship. "They" (it) know every single habit of every user. How long you view something. What you click and respond to. What and who you ignore. Everything.

    It isn't about some dudes knowing your email address, it's about feeding the AI every notion of human interaction. It can control what kind of information gets to you, ghost certain pages and friends and influence your mood by showing you stuff that doesn't interest you. You get bored. It can show you stuff that will engage you in angry debates and piss you off. It can show you horrible news and make you fearful.

    The AI will grow and outsmart the brainpower of the entire human species combined soon.

What do you have to show for it? I can genuinely say I've had interesting experiences in this community, even if they make me laugh and cringe in retrospect, I've gotten to know people I like and consider friends, I've learned things and changed my opinion on a wide array of topics. Since this is a Rust thread I feel obligated to say that dude embarrassed me but taught me something about a whole slew of subjects. Hell, programming, the one thing I'm any good at, the way I make my living, probably my biggest hobby, that was something taught to me in no small part by another poster in this community. Sure, plenty of people hate my guts. But I can give you real, tangible reasons why I'm here. I have a good reason to pay the server bills every month even if people want to call me a tyrant in every second thread. You can shower me with all the fake outrage you want, but I'm going to continue to spend some portion of my time and money to give you a platform to do it because someone else gave me a platform to be a dumb kid on, and that meant a lot.

    What about you? What reasons to you have for being here, other than complaining about literally everything that does or doesn't happen?

    My mom used to call in to Carl P. Mayfield's show on 103.3 WKDF in Nashville when I was about 3 or 4, and she would pretend to be an older black lady named Ruby. She would get all in their shit and have everybody rollin'. Eventually, she talked to Carl P. off-air and admitted that she was trollin' the whole time and that she was really an almost middle-aged white woman when they wanted to meet Ruby in person. We drove to the station and she brought the crew a few fudge pies. Mom was something else.
