the only way to have a control phase would be to lock yourself in a lead coffin for a while
You could always go to hang out in a cave for a while or an old mine. -

Originally posted by aldra you live in a modern western society with a constant bombardment of ideological spew on every channel, every website and every radio transmission to and from every device you own
why do you think your mind is 'clear' now?
The threat of subversion into a self-destructive ideology is far greater than allowing for the possibility of the existence of God. The problem is people. However the technocrats are far more insidious than any religious institution of whatever denomination or flavor of monotheism. -

Originally posted by Sudo You're trying to say the Quran is something it's not because you know a bit about KJV but not the Quran. That doesn't apply here, much of the Quran is retelling old testament stories and taking the J00 out of it.
Many/ Most Muslims don't treat Hadiths the same way they treat the Quran for many different reasons such as being heresy, not the word of Allah, contextual issues, some written much later etc etc etc.
The Bible is more interesting allegorically and the Quran is more interesting literally
I will grant that i am not as knowledgeable on the Quran as i am on the Bible. I would doubt the sincerity of your belief if it were otherwise. -
2022-05-11 at 11:46 PM UTC in My MemoirsSince we're talking religion and Islam came up just believing the bible and discarding theologians in Christianity is kind of like being a Muslim and saying Yeah Mohamed was definitely the messenger of Allah. But the Hadithes seem like BS to me.

The Quran is Judaism for sand niggers. And i have read a lot of the bible, King James version, the best version. And i think we'll have to agree that our interpretations differ, not sure if you care but my interpretation is informed by actual theologians and philosophers as well as the bible. -
2022-05-11 at 11:37 PM UTC in My MemoirsDo you just make your theology up as you go along? Honest question. IDK where you're getting all these ideas.

I wasn't raised religious, and i wouldn't call myself devout or say i truly believed. But i feel religion or at least knowledge thereof would have been good on a personal development sort of level. -

Originally posted by ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yes, it was. It was paid in full upon the execution of Jesus by Satan's minions. It's called the ransom sacrifice, because Satan committed a kind of blackmail to get to God. In managing to corrupt the perfect man Adam, he was able to blackmail God into handing over his perfect son to clear the slate of the sin of man. The only way you can join in and receive the value of this ransom paid and be released from your own inherited sin is to dedicate yourself to God and your neighbors and your brothers and sisters; the baptism is a symbolic, spiritual and physical commitment to that claim.
Satan only has power over your immortal soul if you allow him power over it. Having people and GOD of all the things you could name beholden to Satan sounds like heresy to me.
On the real, Original Sin was caused by the temptation. But it is not inflicted by Satan. The Lord GOD is the judge, and He alone deals in matters of sin and redemption. -

That sin was never paid for. Which is why baptism is a thing. All other sins Jesus took upon Him. And whoever so believes in Him will be able to repent to enter The Kingdom of Heaven.
Also thanks Lala, Satan would like to be God i know this. He should probably know that that's not going to happen. Even if he turns everyone away from God. This may be apocryphal but i think i read or heard that because he wishes to be like God but knows he cannot be God, he resents creation and especially humans because we occupy a special place in the divine order of things. Therefore the faithful being faithful directly contradicts Satans desire to be like God.
The whole AntiChrist arc is where he tries to trick people into worshipping him, right? -
