Well Jesus was a real historical figure. How do you feel now? Also what is 'true', the thing that should be true is the lesson that is learned from the story, granted you have the understanding that the bible is a collection stories, with lessons. And not lessons like 'you'll burn for eternity if you don't get magic water dropped on your head as a baby'.
That's just silly. The people that wrote the bible and studied it for the last 2000 years weren't silly people. They also weren't dumb, and there is a very deep level of analysis to be had in these stories. Even from a non theistic perspective. -

You're not supposed to take the bible literally fam. The fundamentalists got it wrong. I'll even give you a theological argument for that. Canon law says the bible was written by the apostles who were divinely inspired by The Holy Spirit. However even in being in such a state of grace a man is still a man and only God is perfect, so man's works are not a perfect representation of the True Word of God. And that's fine because God makes allowance for a state of imperfection through free will, sin, repentance and atonement.
Remember that The Bible itself is not a miracle. And i mean that in the Canonical technical understanding of what a miracle is.
Without doing a bible study but getting onto a more philosophical interpretation let's just say that when it says that God made us in His image He did not just make us to look like Him. And the way i look at it is that if God should be real than He is a very human like figure not just in body but in mind as well, whether this is a good or bad thing i do not know, but the authors of the bible certainly seemed to consider some aspects of being like God to be not desirable at least in us as we exist on this mortal realm. it even makes it clear in the Bible when Adam and Eve gain the knowledge of Good and Evil. -

I would have said Titanium but then i realized it's China and they make Titanium Salutes with Aluminum instead. -

Thread inspired by random band recommendations. I usually ignore those, but damn.
Shrine of Malice pretty lit. if you're into metal that is.
Kind of feels like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth had a love child. Black metal? Black metal.

2021-07-28 at 5:14 PM UTC in The recent buildings collapsing to weird events is from directed energy weaponsI do have unholy aura IRL. Creatures of darkness are attracted to me, as are victims of abuse, and while misfortune has especially befallen the people i speak of, my luck never quite seems to run out. I get lucky way more often than i should in fact.
Thank you Satan. I appreciate the buff.
