I’ll agree that the administration here really shot itself in the foot with that one. On past sites, it effectively built up demand that could surge once registration was re-opened. I joined totse when regs were re-opened in June 2008. That was a different time though and, as we know, it was an era that was soon to come to an end.

Now, opening registration will only let in those who wish to shit up what remains of this site. No one is “discovering” all the gems of knowledge here. It’s just a handful of old buddies who enjoy the nostalgia of a different time.

This will never be a specialty site. As such, I suggest lowering your expectations if you want to enjoy your experience more.

Who said we are running an information war? As I said before, nothing new will be discovered on a site that is based on nostalgia. It’s basic fanfare at best. Any inklings of leadership fell away a long time ago with other sites, and what we have left is a mostly functional dwelling that is owned by a puppet master who gets a kick off of half-assed coding projects when he’s not in a drunken stupor that leaves him incapable of logging into the Admin CP.

All that being said, -SpectraL, just enjoy yourself. I know it’s your gimic, but don’t try to make this place something it’s not. Contribute if you have something to say, but don’t expect to see here a profound solution to your so-called information war.

This is Niggas In Space, nigga. And that’s all it will ever be.

That’s not really a mission statement. A mission statement needs to be actionable like a goal that describes your purpose. What is your purpose? From there, I’d be curious how plan to achieve it.

Bill Krozby, that means you’re known as the guy who talks too much so it gets awkward when actually shut up for once.

You need to ask more questions and listen rather than try to lead or dominate the conversation. People love to talk about themselves, so you will appear more likeable if you ask probing questions about them. Then listen intently and repeat back some of what they say to show that you were listening.

I like to challenge myself - if you’re the only one in the room who is right, then are you really right?

10/27 is like 10 divided by 27 which equals 0.370 repeating. 3 plus 7 equals 10 which is your 10th month!

Yeah, there’s still like 300 pages that haven’t been released due to national security or some facade. There’s a chance we’ll see some of it in another 180 days.

Nothing juicy yet. Out of the 2,800 pages that were just released, surely something mildly entertaining will show up.

I'm not really into physical real estate. Some people are cut out for it, but I don't want to deal with other people's drama.

If real estate is your thing, I would look into a REIT. There are some good ones out there that pay around an 8% yield, which isn't bad. Just watch out for taxes because they do get taxed heavily.

Well, this is new information. You mentioned this might be a long term buy and hold type of thing. Are you maxing out your 401k and Roth? That's what I would do first. Then, since your $52,000 per year is above the IRS contribution limits, you'll still have some funds left over. I would put that in a taxable account, which would be fine in some kind of total stock market fund.

Have you looked into any robo-advisors? I use Betterment for some things and it's pretty simple. They invest mostly in Vanguard funds. You can select your asset allocation, which I would suggest 90% stocks and 10% bonds if you're really in it for the long haul, and they'll do the rest. Since you said your tax-advantaged accounts are all in stock funds, then your risk tolerance is probably pretty high.

Just don't sell your investments during the correction that's coming up, and keep contributing. Dollar cost averaging will work in your favor and you'll come out on top.

Tell her those are from before you met her. If she continues to give you the wrong kind of lip service, make it known that she needs to stay the fuck out of your shit or else.

I'd start with figuring out why I lost everything. Before I began the process of putting my life back together, I would make sure I would understand what got me in that situation and form a strategy so that it wouldn't happen again.

If you invest that $25 in an index fund earning an average annual rate of return of 7% for 40 years and do nothing else, you will end up with $407.79.

If you contribute $25 per month to that same account, you will end up with $66,028.12.
