Slavs in general are really lazy and resistant to change. They're basically like blacks, except the wrong colour. They aren't generally interested in working hard making commodity items, unless it's something like tanks.
Most of the crap in markets in Ukraine sell cheap Chinese clothes and other Chinese junk. I think China and Russia could go their own way, since Russia has the land and the resources, and China has the factories.
Problem with that is China wants more than oil and gas, they want some shekels the Russians wouldn't have. They would depend on the west for that and we could turn the switch off on China, plenty of other gook countries for cheap labor. -
