Followed her through the woods on roller blades out to a pier, saw ships in the distance and so could have died. Nothing would have stopped me from falling into the ocean on roller blades. At the dance hall, I was wearing a silver dress and pink feather boa, a chubby boy asked me to dance with him and I said no. But I did dance with my dad, I had my feet planted on his feet. At the caravan there were bats outside our window. In the car on the way there, my sister was always playing on a yellow game boy but I got her to play magnetic chess with me sometimes, and I always threw up.

A week after my dad died I was having dinner with my mum's family. Uncle was sitting right next to me, and he says to my mum across the table that he's sorry my dad died. He didn't say anything to me, he just said it to her like said her name. My parents were divorced.
