I actually dig the current banner, haters gonna hate, but I want to do a rotating banner type thing so I'm taking submissions. It's not really a contest though because in the spirit of not giving a fuck I don't want to take submissions and then make a separate voting thread or try to tally votes in this thread or whatever. So here are the rules:

1. Your image may be a max of 300 pixels wide by 150 high (the current one doesn't meet these rules but w/e)
2. No animation, no fucking way
3. Reasonable size. Like 4MB tops.
4. Format may be png, jpg, or gif (gif isn't prefered tho)
5. One submission per user

If you banner meets all the above criteria it will be accepted and go into the banner rotation. HOWEVER each banner will fall into one of three categories: acceptable levels of shitty, really fucking stupid, and NSFW. If it falls into the first it will get put up soon, everyone will see it. If it falls into one of the later too I'll take it but I'll need to whip up some logic to allow people to opt out of the latter two and that might take a little time so just a heads up. Undecided if NSFW will be part of the default rotation or not, thoughts welcome.

Boy, it's weird that gay marriage is now legal everywhere in the US. Wouldn't have expected it, but I wasn't aware of the Supreme Court challenge.

Imagine getting a motorized wheelchair/Rascal so you could trip and wander around in public without having to worry about walking or looking really off. Even if you act weird, people will just assume you're disabled.

San Francisco would be the perfect place for this. Maybe LSD or AL-LAD, possibly combined with MDMA, or 4-FA or methylone, for the pro-social, mood boosting, and anxiolytic effects. I'd even throw in a non-interfering anxiolytic on top of that as an extra safeguard, like baclofen or phenibut.

Funny you made both these posts together. I had some 1P-LSD so I took a tab, waited around for like two hours for it to kick in but it was fairly mild so I figured I was good to go outside, walked down to market, watched the parade for a little bit and texted a friend and then out of nowhere the trip got like 10 times more intense and I was like "woahhha, fuck this" and made my way home. Had to sit down a couple times on my way there and was walking like a robot. It kinda shook me up but good fun once I laid down with the lights off and some music.

Also I would have to say music. Only thing is though my ears are getting fucked. Last saturday I woke up and my left ear was like head-achy sort of and muffled more than the right. And when i listened to music it got worse. Also I was standing towards the left most speaker friday night…. I think im going to have to be that faggot that wears ear buds to shows…:(

You should blood, if you're at the front of the venue then the sound is probably going to be heavy on high end, it sounds better with the ear plugs anyway. It's not worth fucking up your hearing to look cool plus I think most people who are into music don't think it's goofy to protect your ability to enjoy music.

I disagree with your opinion OP. I've gotten good milage out of my membership to the asian art museum here in SF. I'm not even particularly into asian art but they cycle stuff through there so often there's almost always at least one interesting thing to see. Plus art museums are a pretty good date. Like maybe not a first date, but second/third or beyond.

Before Zok banned RC trading there were lot's of people peddling wares. It was pretty neat.

I'm kinda sad I missed the early days of RC trading, too busy being a square. I sorta remember it being mostly JHW-whatever so maybe it was no big loss, but there was probably some good shit as well if I had kept an ear to the ground.

Oh well, I can hardly complain, I can order pretty much any classical recreational drug and a lot of new ones without even leaving my home, wave of the future mang.

Ehh, why does anyone make any mistake? The dev was probably just trying to implement something on a deadline and didn't think about it. There's also a cultural factor, pretty much everyone knows about SQL injection and even an entry level web dev would know that when you're manually concatenating SQL strings you're probably fucking something up. Awareness of XSS issues is not as thoroughly dispersed. It depends on the environment, in more modernized frameworks markup sanitization happens by default and you have to very intentionally declare your intention to sidestep it whereas probably a majority of PHP code, even today, has ad-hoc tooling rather than a well thought out communal approach you see in major frameworks. It's not a particularly complicated problem in concept but by the nature of the response pipeline managing strings end-to-end in a safe way takes a lot of machinery that it would be unusual to see done at all, much less done right, in a frameworkless PHP project.

But yeah, it's just a different flavor of injection attack. You (or the developer in this case) should never insert untrusted strings into your markup without sanitization, otherwise this will happen and you can hijack people's sessions.

Ok, so auto-subscribe seems to work, if it doesn't let me know (the button may not flip until you reload the page, it can be fixed but unless it really bugs anyone I don't want to waste the time).

As for a usercp, go to your profile (click your name or there's a "My Profile" link in the dropdown you get by clicking your name/avatar at the top of each page) and switch to the subscribed tab. To my mind that fulfills functionally the same role as the usercp. I guess since things aren't structured as threads you could miss content, hmm. Give it a go, if it's not working I can wire something else up.
