I swear to god im wearing my hazmat and respirator and coughing a bunch this week to make customers as uncomfortable as i am at having to deal wih them. No paper towels, no hand sanitizer. No masks. No asking sick people to leave. No mandated distance away from the counter. The pharmacy and pizza place had the good sense to put up the security gates and only take orders at the entryway, but im stuck dealing with a bunch of sickpeople and dudes from china dropshipping 14 crates of masks and gloves…..In boxes that obviously just arrived from china.
fml. i fucking hate this shit. Anyone that youre paying $13/hr is not fucking “essential” fuck you.
I heard them say hotels are 'critical infrastructure' as well. I metaphorically spit out my drink laughing when they said that. How about the power grid, emergency services, computer systems controlling the operations of dams and other such works. -

If the borders were to close for real, real, we'd be in in some trouble, we have oil reserves for six weeks, and while we produce more food than we eat good luck getting it to the grocery store without gas.
But hey, being a smol country has it's advantages, you can basically bike everywhere if you really had to, lmao. -

I haven't had the opportunity to measure for myself but my friend who works for the Ministry of Defense says we have 6 weeks i have no reason to disbelieve him. Let's hope we have more. -
