i genuinely am pretty great though.
the thing is, i like to do nothing. i hate doing anything that requires effort. whether its academic, social, etc. there is a chasm between my potential and its actualization

malice isn't even a loser, he's just like someone with downs syndrome. you don't even count someone like that as a part of society or the human race, it's just what went wrong somewhere in the evolutionary timeline that made them a less evolved creature. -

I wouldn't really say "no significant risk" is the appropriate summary. From the author's summary:I find the psychosis, tolerance, and Parkinson’s to be the most concerning … I am pretty upset about the overall terrible state of this research.
He really kinda swept the tolerance point under the rug with a blog poll of all things although to his credit he did circle back to it. With one methodologically unsound study to go on it's hard to say this is knock down evidence that there are no tolerance/baseline degradation risks.
A lottery ticket with a 1% chance of winning Parkinson's also isn't something I really want to be holding but on the other hand I'm sure the booze will get me first. -

It's not malice's research and he never claimed it was. It's a well written blogpost summarizing actual research. This meets my criteria for being a thing to take somewhat seriously.
Reading widely is a wonderful thing but people calling it "research" is a pet peeve. My conspiracy theorist family members used to tell me about all the "research" they did reading infowars and related sites. Our society has such shit standards for accepting something as true that actually taking the time to read anything regardless of where it comes from, no matter how uncritically you assess its claims, is seen as making you some impartial seeker of truth, a "researcher". -
