2020-01-19 at 1:29 PM UTCI’ve heard this before, but it’s a myth. Pretty sure it started as a quote some random famous idiot said and it’s been repeated as fact by other idiots. Your heart doesn’t have a built-in allocation of beats before it stops working.
Well I mean technically it does but that’s only because all things that will ever happen in the universe were already predetermined at the moment of the Big Bang due to the nature of causality. Including how many times your heart will beat during your life.
But what I mean is it’s not like you were born with a heart “rated” for 3,000,000,000 beats or whatever and nothing that happens to you during your life ever changes it’s “rating”. -

you can exercise your heart to make it stronger, but you cant do anything to make your heart valves tougher.
powerful hearts arent good for their valves. -

2020-01-19 at 5:34 PM UTCSome of the best doctors in the world say workouts like jogging are totally unnecessary, and go so far as to say you can shorten your life by doing them. Take a nap instead, they say.
