    Because it's a muscle and it makes is stronger...and then when your heart is at it's normal pace it's not working "hard" to maintain normality.

    Like a big engine in a truck can go hundreds of thousands of miles (over a million in many cases) vs a little engine in a jap car lucky if it makes it to 150k.
