When I finally talked to you a couple months later you said you did a fuckton of MXE and passed out in a bathroom stall at the venue and barely remembered the rest of the night. -

oh shit, that was that rave in krenshaw. gawd what a weird rave, I was the only fucking drug dealer there, I got sooo many people way too fucked up on MXE because they thought oh well I do ketamine I can handle a little bump of this right lolol. the security guards opened the door to the bathroom while I was weighing out drugs and they were like what the fuck, stop holding up the bathroom just weigh this shit out in the open. my friends who organized the event were so pissed, "what the FUCK are you doing"

That said, I do not necessarily agree with your premise. Our community was built on the sharing of controversial information. Everything from illegal drugs to hacking, to bomb making, to scams. Each (major) version of the community has experienced some form of law-enforcement intervention due to the acts of one or more posters.
However, there are a number of people who would rather their name, face, and address not be tied to the things they post here or have posted on here. This rings more true if they have used the same username over the years where a simple Google search could bring up potentially incriminating or devastating posts where the consequences might mean the loss of a relationship, job, or even as severe as their freedom (i.e. being arrested).
I am fully aware that Bill Krozby's full personal information has been posted on the forums multiple times and with all of the disdain he mostly has here, one would think that if anyone was going to receive some negative reaction from that, it would be him. That hasn't been the case. No one has done anything with his information. At all. Maybe it's because it's "low hanging fruit" and there isn't much pleasure in knocking down someone who isn't "high up" on a ladder to begin with. Maybe it's because no one actually gives a shit. Who knows?
The point being, many users do other activities outside of posting here on NIS that they may or may not want tied to their username and thus, their name, face, and address. This could be as benign as a job and "normal" life where they live this "secret" life here on NIS and just want to keep it private or as severe as they are involved in illegal activities that they'd rather not divulge information about themselves.
Then there are those that simply value anonymity, an &T value, and prefer to remain anonymous even though they are as vanilla as Vanilla Ice.
I applaud you for taking the initiative for DOXing yourself, but I do not believe that the majority of the userbase will follow suit with your idea.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Thank you, but again, I want to say that I fully support, endorse, and even encourage the preservation of online privacy and anonymity.
It's the safer, smarter, more practical thing to do.
I, on the other hand, am throwing my hat in the ring and testing the waters with a whole new strategy.
Hey, if it turns out horribly for me, I will share my lessons learned with the whole lot of you.
Maybe I will find out first hand how detrimental it can be to a person's reputation to intentionally post their own personal information.
