the media chooses societies morality. the sheeple just follow along because they know everyone else is watching this and will all be thinking the same. humans are sociable animals, they have an inherent desire to fit in with the group. one of the ways you fit in is by holding the same opinions and agreeing with what everyone else thinks. the media take advantage of this trait to control the masses.
plus it doesn't help that most people are like jokerell and believe every fucking word they read or hear on tv.
