I just picked up a 2009 Er6n back in March. Previous owner only put 1,200 miles on it, but it's practically like new. I'm going to customize it a bit over the summer, but otherwise there's nothing like riding a bike and getting 45-50 mpg (fuck gas prices).
Finally got my new body kit from extreme fairings in and installed
I believe it was $700, could've saved a hundred bucks by not getting a tank cover but I got one just to be sure the color would match, and I could've saved more by only ordering the pieces that I needed, but for some reason I didn't think of that and bought a full set
Looks great and fits just like OEM, although there are some gaps (but I can't tell if it's just my mechanical ineptitude)
Two of the fairings came broken but they were both in areas almost completely unseen and I hadn't bought any kind of shipping insurance on them so I just ABS cemented them back together and installed them
Our postman is well-known in the community for not giving a fuck about fragile shit, the motherfucker
I swear if I crash this thing again I'm selling it and buying a z900
I love sport bikes but I don't love the cost of replacing the fairings

If a sports bike doesn't have a top speed of over 200 mph I won't even ride it. I want the best equipment and easier to modify. Usually Hayabusas and can't wait for my new free one.

because top speed is always the most important trait of a bike. especially considering the overwhelming majority of the time such nonsense is physically impossible due to road and traffic conditions.
oh. wait. you meant a BMX.

I raced bikes and with higher speeds you see better brakes and shifting. I test them and my favorite is the Hayabusas. The only thing you'll have to tweak is the fuel management system and the 6 speeds with constant mesh are great for road unless you go long distances. In your case I would suggest a Pogo stick and dildo up your ass.

I would take practicality over top speed. Big engines are useless if you can't use it, I can push my 650 as much as I want and it works flawless. Straight line and in twists.

Practicality is no use in racing...on road it's ok. Big engines with poor parts is useless also...Ducati. Once you reach 185 mph stability becomes very important and tire grip on the track like in the TT competitions.

All about comfort in the seat and luggage capacity.
200 mph is retarded for an everyday rider. No need at all. Most bikes will do 150 easy.
I did 165 on my vtx and it scared the shit out of me,backed her down.
Handling in the twisties is also important. I like curvy roads.

Most Grand Prix racers are little dudes
I went to a moto America event a couple years ago and couldn’t believe how little all the dudes were, but it makes sense.
30 lbs of body weight can make a huge difference in time and most of those guys wreck a lot,so smaller guys can take more punishment.

Also I must add this...fat chicks on the back of speed bikes is not good. No bags or heavy carriers. Even with an extended frame any woman riding with me has to be 125 lbs or less and no more than medium height. Not a big problem in cities...yet on a fast highway with inexperienced passenger it can be deadly. A communication system helps and a few lessons first. The one I ride with knows how to tuck and is not afraid of speed. A nagger makes it less enjoyable...lol.
