Well, I got through the first day without killing someone.
During class I was thinking about just overdosing on benzos and heroin. Being hungover and burned out definitely didn’t help things, I’m sure I would have felt better sober.
Putting up with soul crushing bullshit for 4 years and then work until retirement? Suicide sounds miiiighty tempting. There’s a pretty strong case for it.

As someone who also labors anxiously over the decision of whether or not to go to class even though I'm not feeling 100%, I think you should feel very proud of yourself. Yeah, it doesn't feel good to be fucked up or underperforming, but for a lot of nontraditional students who struggle with mental illness, just getting there is half the battle.

My experience has been that people sometimes deserve a pat on the back when they've done something that wasn't easy for them. It's good for their resolve the next time they experience the same difficulty. Malice was worried about going to class, and he did it anyway. Yeah, it's a small step for some people, but not for everyone. He has a lot more potential I'm sure than a lot of students who show up religiously and do all their work.

Especially important is that we've all seen him thinking about this for months. This is a huge deal to Malice. So huge a deal that he almost got cold feet and drank himself to death - a natural inclination, for those of us new to certain pressures - but he didn't, and for this I believe him worthy of the highest praise. He's fighting an internal war, same as any of us, and he deserves a song for his victories.
By the way, who are you? I've been seeing a lot of you around the forum and I'm always suspicious of new accounts. I have a list of maybe four or five people who you might be, but I'm certain beyond all doubt that you are not 'Jeremus'.
