2018-02-07 at 9:11 PM UTCPaddle shifters do not make up for lacking a stick shift. The point of a manual car is not the ease of use, it's the fun involved in operating the manual shifter. If you are using a paddle shifter, you aren't getting that, it's just an automatic that you have to play slow DDR with.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with driving an automatic either, I just don't understand paddle shifters. I use an automatic for ease of driving. I use a manual for the fun of driving. Paddle shifters don't accomplish either. What they should do instead is make a shifter that is still assisted like a paddle shifter, but it replicates the look and feel of a stick shift. -

No don't do it. Use piano wire instead. Stand on a high place, make your piano wire noose and tie it to whatever. Then krazy glue your hands to the sides of your heads, wait for it to dry and then jump. When the rope is pulled taut, it will cut your head off in a fountain of gory gory glory, and it will look like you tore your own head off, it will be metal as fuck. -
