Nah, I just happen to actually care about music.
Unlike this forum I don't treat music as a disposable commodity.
To me it's something of a spiritual experience, and listening to an album without any physical component/experience totally gimps it.
Serious listeners and musicians feel the same way. -

We're talking about albums, which is something that must exist physically in order to be fully experienced.
Though even if you're only interested in singles or listening to songs individually it's still a better experience physically.

Music videos were only used as a promotional tool.
You'll see fewer of them once you delve inti music beyond the mainstream stuff.
I agree though that they're an important component to music though, they're really fun to watch and can make a song more memorable in certain circumstances. -

They're preferences. Sure it's nice to have physical copies of your media, but at the end of the day, what you supposed to enjoy is the content, not the medium in which it's delivered.

It's about the medium as an experience.
There is no way around this, if you want to fully appreciate an album you would want the physical apsect.
Streaming or files is akin to having only listened to it on thr radio.
Files/streaming is good for seeing if you enjoy it and sharing a particular song with others but it's not a substitute for actual albums. -

You do realize that you can have full albums in data forum, right?
Also, things like CD players are more and more obscure these days. Lots of cars don't even have them anymore. So then what? Because a person puts full albums onto a USB stick the don't "get it" because they're not inserting a physical disc into a slot?
What about 8-tracks, cassette tapes, etc.? Do you own a physical copy of every album you love in every form of media available? -

Hey, get this, I don't disagree. Owning albums is nice. Its cool to have hard copies of the music you love.
At the same time, sometimes it's just not possible, or like Bill Krozby said, you enjoy so much music that it would be far too expensive or just phsycially impracticle to own every single physical album.
Can you seriously not understand that or is this just part of your routine to try and get under our feathers? Can you concede to any points being made?
