hah, there have been a few times where I've converted and deposited BTC to buy stuff from a market and had a decent ($20 or so) change left in the wallet, and when I've come back to buy something else I find that I have plenty left in my wallet so I don't need to convert any more shekels. -

GG4 convinced me in early 2013 to buy BTC. I had just enough money to do it, but I wanted to wait until a friend paid back a couple grand I lent him. So i was going to spend that same $2000 on BTC and if nothing else, just buy drugs. By the time he paid me back, itd already spiked and it didnt seem like as good of an investment anymore.

Yeah i dunno if he held onto any this long, but when he was convincing me to buy, they were at $25 or so, and he bought $5000 worth. I know he cashed out part of them and invested that cash in other side hustles. I think he mentioned something about buying some foreclosed properties or a house or something. None. I'm not entirely sure what I did with it. I believe I continued being unbelievably dysfunctional/mentally ill and lived frivolously and aimlessly. I genuinely had given up on life and didn't expect to live very long, which is why I had been drinking dangerous amounts daily, which culminated in me checking myself into the ER. I think that pushed things past the point where it wasn't merely whining online. -
