It was his kid molesting his niece. But I can't imagine much that would make a normal parent ever suspect something like that. Even if there were signs, he would've certainly been in denial, or probably never suspected anything so horrible in the first place. Who would think their kid could possibly do that? -

Sure, i guess in the case of the dad of the guy who did the diddling. I can't imagine that if you have a normal, good relationship with your child(In the case of the niece) you wouldn't notice.
