I work at UPS. And the community service was at a "Moose Lodge" like a Shriner's Club or something, or a Masonic lodge. They do a lot of volunteer work and raising money for charity. But in my case, that was the only thing available to do during my free hours, and it just so happened that it was essentially a bar. Just a big room with a legit bar, stools, bottles, beer on tap, jukebox. Then an auditorium for presentations, a bathroom, and a smoking room with a bunch of sofas and glass windows, a screen door.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Ah well the actual place you had to do the community service at doesn't sound bad at all. I had to sort through filthy clothes then usually ended up throwing 60-75% of the shit away people would bring in. The was the jist of working at an Outreach/Goodwill type place for community service I got hit with 500 hours twice I guess it could have been worse. -

The community service place- I couldnt have asked for a cooler place to work. That said, having to PAY to do it after a 10 hour work day, having to PAY $20 each night for an uber there and back....only getting 3 months to do that many fucking hours on a full time work schedule.... Getting the flu because i was having to go put of way way to do community service, and then failing to finish it and getting rolled uyp by th enarcotics police.... all of that was dogshit.
But yeah...mopping and pouring beers was way preferable to picking up trash or something. -
