It largely depends on what it is, their state of mind, and the reasons they came in.
If it's something like "I'm hearing voices and shadow people exist" I might send them to a doctor for some medication before continuing.
Otherwise, if it isn't serious, I typically let it go as long as it doesn't impact treatment. An example might be: "OMG global warming is like super legit and I'm like so stressed out about it." I wouldn't try to correct them, instead I'd guide them in processing their fear, and work with them on ways to defeat or cope with it. -

Dango, have you ever read anything by Stanislav Grof, particularly "LSD Psychotherapy"? If not, I highly recommended. He practiced professional psychotherapy assisted by LSD while it was legal, personally administered or oversaw over a thousand cases, IIRC. The results were incredible. It's probably one of, if not the most, interesting book related to your field that you'll ever read. -

It's fucking impossible to do that. Everything can be easily conjured via Google. You can just look up academic papers and find some technical shit in there. -
