Dargo: The Psychologist

Unrelated: what's you opinion on the use of psychedelics for treating mental illness?

Like Falco said, I'm not quite sure what I could tell you that couldn't be found via google. Also, I've already stated being a psychologist is a very easy job to have.

Would you like me to tell you about a client or something? Office drama?

Admittedly I haven't read as much on the subject of psychedelics as I should have, but I generally hold the same opinion on it as I do medicinal marijuana: It's shit, and there are better (or should be better) alternative forms of treatment.

Who's the saddest client you've had?

A middle-aged man I saw shortly after I first started practicing. He was divorced, had a gambling addiction, ton of debt, poor social skills, no friends, and was only in to see me because he got another DUI. We had a couple sessions, but he stopped coming as soon as his court-mandated time was up.

The guy seriously wouldn't work with me on anything. The first time he came in he gave a blunt account of how fucked up his life was, said there was no hope left for him, and then stopped talking. He literally sat through the rest of our sessions without a word - just looking depressed as all fuck. Wouldn't play cards or anything.

Yeah I agree with the medical marijuana thing. I'm going to sound like an old man here but mostly it's a very convenient excuse to smoke pot legally and have the plug be your doctor/a cannabis dispensary. All the people thinking it's going to be some magical weed utopia are dead wrong too. I've seen the prices people pay for this shit and for what they're paying for a 2-3 grams is what I could cop an entire ounce of the same exact strain for and any criminal worth his salt would be able to as well.

I'm not hating on the plant itself I think as far as illegal drugs go it is probably the most benign and harmless "drug" there is but people take it a step too far and act as if taking three water bong rips before work is the same thing as taking as a multi vitamin and it's not. Common logic will tell you inhaling anything that harsh that is that rough on your throat and lungs clearly isn't doing any favors for your health.

Yea but smoking pot legally can be medicinal for a lot of people. The two are the same thing in a lot of circumstances. Some people need an addiction/vice to function without going a little crazy. Something they can come home to and get a buzz, and weed is a lot healthier than other drug addictions.

You don't. You said at one point that martials arts are gay and didn't know that MMA =Mixed Martial Arts. You claim to be a Sambo fighter and I wanted to talk to you about it on multiple occassions and you ducked and dived every time. You didn't know what BKB is and that Boxing has rules. You want to fight (Judo vs Sambo) on concrete.... Real recognize real. Youare fake.

Oplus, a Psychology master, didn't want any of me for good reason. I literally made Sophie come out of the closet and broke Malice to the point where he first tried to ignore me and then actually left to seek outside help.

I'm not convinced that's true. At least in CS you can tell pretty quickly what a person's level of training is if you push on their technical opinions a bit. Yes the state of the art is publically available but I guarantee you, no one is going to put in the effort necessary to feign a qualified opinion convincingly. Malice has more spare time than like three normal humans combined to research his interests and it's still pretty obvious he has no formal training. I'm not saying citizen science isn't a thing or non-valuable, but I am saying it's distinguishable from structured education.

A technical opinion, not an anecdote. I find it hard to believe you studied in your field for what? Six years post undergrad? And don't have an informed opinion on some facet of your field that isn't yet at consensus. What are your areas of interest? Who do you think is doing interesting research? Who do you think are historically significant psychologists? Depth psychology vs. behaviorism and why? What is the relationship between the academy and clinical practice, and what should it be?

Yes, but that's if YOU know, and then quiz someone on it. If someone who actually knew biochemical engineering asked me a deep ass question, I couldn't answer it. But I could ask a deep ass question on biochemical engineering by looking up some research papers. It's not reversible, it doesn't prove anything.

Dargo, you claimed in a PM that you left Russia on your own at the age of 15 and learned the language autodidact. You claimed that both your parents are dead and that you are completely happy with it because that's the way it's supposed to be. You claim to be younger than 29 and be a practicing Psychologist who has a social worker who does your paper work yet you have to do surprise drug tests. Cute.

A professianal Psychologist wouldn't ask niggasin.space what to do to help his struggling neighbor kid. Don't be silly.

Your story is full of holes and cluttered with lies. Stop fronting.

Again, I don't think it's so. You can tell the difference between an amature and expert pianist even if you don't play or only play a little. I think the generative activity of producing expert opinions and the receptive activity of appraising them don't require a symmetric level of familiarity with a field.

It won't prove shit is the point. I could ask you a big dixk question about anything. Answering it is a problem.

Here's a better test; Dargo tells us his specialisation, then one of you go, do a deep dive on some academic papers and ask him technical questions relating to his specialisation.
