And again, that's just Houston…further north it's much more common..and not that much further North, Dallas gets snow on the regular in winter.

We'll mark this one down as another loss for you vincent, but keep trying!

ETA: I don't actually live in Houston btw…I'm North of Houston.

wont be for any longer as the climate will change.

Do you need a guarantee before taking preventative measures that cost little to nothing?..and again not even mentioning the rust inhibitors.

Can you guarantee climate change will result in non-freezing days in Tejas? From the data I've seen it means HOTTER summers and COLDER winters.

Some times it just pushes out the freeze plugs if your lucky. Even that can be costly in the US especially the rear one that require you to remove the transmission.

its more of a refusal to give in to urban legend and myths, hearsays and folk songs.

have you or anyone you know have had cracked block due to frozen coolant ?

have you seen the phenomena documented ?

Except it's not an urban legend or myth ...who told you it was?

Water freezes at or just below freezing point (depending on impurities etc), antifreeze...prevents that, and also contains rust inhibitors. JUST THE FACTS MA'AM.

Engine blocks cracking is only part of the possible problems, gaskets, hoses, radiator etc being much more likely victims to ice. Water expands when frozen, gaskets and hoses..especially older ones are prone to cracking.

A few dollars of antifreeze prevents that...AGAIN JUST THE FACTS MA'AM...no urban legend or myth present...and again, the rust inhibitors.

Here you go though Vincent...no mention of it being an urban legend.

" In very cold climates, the weather can get too cold. If the coolant is not at the right mixture then it can freeze and expand. The end result is the engine block will crack because it cannot handle the expansion – something has to give."

Now vincent, you've been given MULTIPLE sources confirming it's the case...give us *1* source (other than some random clown) showing that it's a legend/myth...

You've been mentally/emotionally and probably physically destroyed yet again Vincent. When will an Asian learn he can't win against the might of the White man's mind?

    .

Why are you focusing only on the Engine block? ....gaskets, hoses, radiators...don't they matter if they crack/leak?
