It's something they add on in addition to your normal duties, there's no extra pay or anything, but it's still worth doing cos they will pay for training and periodic re-training and it is a good brag to say you did. -

Don't be impatient. You're in a bigger organisation now, which is a smart place to be, and the way to get ahead in a bigger organisation is by both being tight with the bosses and having lots of patience for the right job openings to present themselves.
A big company always has lots of people moving on and lots of job offerings, but you might have to wait 6 to 18 months for an opportunity, so just like they told me, try to develop patience, and try not to get stressed out waiting for job opportunities to emerge, because they will.
I'm in a big company too, and that whole bullying thing last year only helped me, as they wanted to get rid of me from one business unit to the other. They're also praying I won't be back. Patience pays off in the bigger companies. -

heard thats the advice red man bad gave me. I was told the only way to get let go is you quit/ you get into cat fights/ show up late all the time. -
