theyre entirely overpriced, considering i can do the same thing with a flatbar/prybar that costs 1/10th as much...or a 8lb ax for $50 or so -

dunno...it might be possible.
any door lock (door handle...dead-bolt) ive tried physically destroying has always failed in the locked position. *
its easier to just rip the door out of the frame or kill the section of the jamb where the bolt enters.
* i used a 1/2" drill bit to cut through the pins on a neighbors dead-bolt because she didnt want to fuck up her door. it was the first time i'd ever done it and was amazed at how easily the bit chewed through the metal. i posted pics on some site...i think 'survivialist forums'...about 10 years ago. -

barrels, as in short ones?
its a ridiculous rule the BATF has...thats kinda complicated overall...but the jist is, a rifle can be considered a pistol if it doesnt have a stock and then can have any sized barrel...but it cant be officially named a 'rifle'...
a rifle has to have a minimum barrel size of 16" shotgun, 18"...anything shorter than that is considered 'AOW'...or 'any other weapon'...and has to have a speshul tax/permission slip. BUT a rifle can have a shorter barrel if it doesnt have a stock, then is considered a pistol and has no restriction other than being considered a pistol. once a rifle/pistol is named a rifle/pistol, that is what it has to always be throughout its life. as in...you cant get a pistol, add a stock, and say 'abracadabra youre a rifle'

Also if you over lock or keep turning any knob or handle with a tool it will shatter the internal mechanism and you can just open the door and walk in.
um. no. it will bend (if malleable) or snap (if brittle) the weakest component, whatever it is. most locked locks fail locked. -
