I don't know if the thread title is true. He's hostile to me a lot of the time, but I've been hostile to him a lot in the past so we ain't really friends (by my own doing). I don't have a problem with him really though. Alls I know is he hasn't alienated my bf, as far as I can tell. So from that persective, I gotta say this is kinda BS.
Bill Krozby is a unique kinda guy. I can see people "getting sick of his shit" over time, maybe. But like... I don't think that's an intrinsic quality of his. More like a statement on how disconnected you really are from people you connect with over the internet? Like I don't think Bill Krozby is incapable of making real, lasting friends. But it's definitely possible that a lot of his internet friendships won't last/haven't lasted.
It's hard to get a grasp on who a person really is, and even harder online. And it's a lot easier online to break a friendship off once you realize you didn't understand a person/don't really like them. And we only know about his online friendships with us. *shrug*

I don't think that's purely the case, alchemists were manifestly performing actual chemical experiments even if those experiments were far from rigorous by modern standards and more akin to banging rocks together. If it's a metaphor, it's probably one they thought was true in both a physical and metaphysical/metaphorical sense.
