As in other species generally tend not to have animals which express exclusively homosexual preferences? Even if we were to accept this as true (which we needn't really), it wouldn't make it any less "natural" or any less comparable to other animals or whatever. Humans are not giraffes. Humans are not dolphins. Humans can have unique behaviors, but that uniqueness is not somehow exceptional. Different species behave different ways. Shocker.

Human exceptionalism is a myth. Humans are animals. Animal homosexuality is pretty directly comparable to animal homosexuality. It's also worth noting that human sexual behavior can and often does serve the same purpose it does for bonobos (see: prison buttsex, or just like... any woman who has given a blowjob in hopes of calming down an abusive husband before he gets violent). Horny males not caring about where they stick their dicks is not unique to humans either. Humans are just another animal exhibiting the same kind of behavior in a different way. Human homosexual behavior isn't the same as giraffe homosexuality, true. However, giraffe homosexual behavior also isn't the same as bird homosexual behavior. It's not like "animals do gay shit one way, but humans are different". Animals all do gay shit in different ways, to different extents, for different reasons. Humans included.
I feel fairly certain that your issue is more with the sociological behavior of humans who exhibit homosexual behavior, which is to say your real issue is "no other species is homoromantic, only humans are Gay™". Which:
1) Is still fairly debatable.
2) Is kind of meaningless. From the perspective of human exceptionalism, animals generally aren't romantic at all. It would almost be weirder if human homosexual relationships were exclusively non-romantic. Being "romantically involved" with the person you're fucking is a fairly normal social behavior for that particular species.
Or maybe it's exactly the opposite? You think only humans perform penetrative sex in homosexual encounters, so that sets them apart? Even though, as you said, dolphins. And other animals very much do bust nuts, even if sans penetration.
Point is, homosexual behavior in humans is no more unique than other human sexual behavior, and no more different than homosexual behavior is between 2 other given species. -
