It almost seems like the government also added something to make americans laugh easier, so they giggle for the stupidest reasons and become amused by the stupidest forms of entertainment. That seems to be all the control a government would ever need right there, the entertainment industry.
The control the money and the money is spent on entertainment, the mind controlling dumbing down kind. Some people that wouldn't normally be quite as stupid are pressured into partaking in the entertainment industry by their peers and as a result, end up more mindless and retarded than they were to begin with.

Americans are already docile and autistic and would much sooner fight amongst themselves than stand up to the government. They know they have a better chance of survival fighting each other than trying to actually take on the government, things like fluoride and soy isoflavones as well as mandated mercury based products and BPA everywhere have already made sure the majority are in autistic survival mode, lacking empathy similar to a sociopath and survival oriented, but just smart enough to know that it's much safer to fight their fellow americans then try to fight the government.
Shiny things make them happy. They're easily distracted and apathetic as it is.

I think Technologist has had way too much fluoride to understand that designating something a "terrorist organization" or designating someone a "terrorist" has lost any meaning it once had. Bush famously said "If you're not with us, then you're with the terrorists"

yeah, absurd 'red flag' laws that allow anyone to target a person for disarmament by saying they're a vague threat. if they were able to prove that he ordered or had anything to do with the mentioned crimes they would've arrested him rather than confiscated his weapons.
it'd be a different story if Atomwaffen was actually designated a terror group or something because then there'd be some legal basis for it, but they'll never do that because it's almost entirely a fed honeypot for idiots.
